  1. No. It means it's illegal to assemble an unimportable long gun w/o conforming to the 922r. Same as it's meant for years. Thank you! shooooooe! thought I wasn't allowed to convert. Sorry about the double post, I will delete it.
  2. So does this line "as long as none of the original parts are substituted with replacement or additional parts" from the letter mean that if a person replaces a russian part with an American part, he is manufacturing, or assembling a firearm! W.T.F.! Does this mean that it is illegal to convert a Saiga 12 over with American parts?!
  3. Thanks man, but that link doesn't work for me. I think I am compliant, counting the surefire mag. I guess that will have to due for now. I just won't store it without the mag in it...
  4. Is my Saiga 12 a candidate for 922 R Compliance! I had a bone stock Saiga 12 as pictured in my avatar. I have now replaced the stock with Tapco stock, and added Tapco pistol grip, (which wasn't there before, so probably doesn't count for 922r), added SGM forearm, and added surefire 12 round Mag, and a Tangodown forearm "peg" front pistol grip (which wasn't there before, so probably doesn't count for 922r.) . Do you think I am compliant with 922r now? Also without the mag would I be compliant?
  5. Hello all! I am new to the forum, and just got Saiga 12 number "225" (in my avatar.) I would like to change the stock to pistol grip style, and change the forerm to a rail type. I would like to know the best and most cost effective parts for the job. please post pics of your shotguns as well, I may like to go with what you did. also I would like to add a red dot sight, and mounts for red dot. I love my saiga 12! It cycles through even the lightest bird loads with ease. and has never jammed so far out of about 80 rounds (knocking on wood!) thanks all! Craig
