  1. I don't know about the 20 or 12 but the 10 round drum I have is a jam-o-matic. It has yet to feed a single round correctly, they always get hung up on the edge of the chamber. My surefire mags work perfectly, and of course the Russian 5s also work perfectly. Also, I have been ignored by promags customer service on enough occasions that I have given up. Maybe the 20's and 12's are good but the 10's are junk.
  2. I've got a 10 rounder. It's junk. It locks in fine without much fitting, but it won't feed reliably with any of the 10+ types of ammo, both high and low brass in 2 3/4 shells that I've tried. Multiple emails to the tech support email address at promag have gone unanswered. I would avoid them. I'm waiting for someone else to come out with a 10 round drum as I can't use the 20 rounders here in California.
  3. Same here with my 10 rounder. My stick mags all work fine.
  4. The info from calguns is correct. There isnt anything they left out that I would need to add.
  5. Drive your saiga over to these guys: http://www.yelp.com/biz/valkyrie-arms-milpitas Notice that they have strange hours during the week. It isnt a typo.
  6. $700 is Nothing... The gun show in San Francisco (yes, there is one and its way nicer then the one in San Jose) had an unconverted saiga 12 selling for the low-low price of $2000! They wanted $2500 for the converted one.
  7. I would also be interested in picking up a barrel extension if one still exists...
  8. I can calculate the math of you just want to post measurements... Measuring in beer can lengths is OK if you tell me what kind of beer you drink!
  9. When you do these tests, can you shoot at least 3 of each type of shell from a benchrest then measure the distance (in small units like inches or centimeters) that the hulls went? I would also like to know the weight of each type of fired hull, and the distance of the rest to the ground. The reason for all of this is that to see of the plug is working then we want the force on the hull to be a constant. This is quite different then just saying the hulls need to land in the same place, because cheap hulls weigh as much as half of the high-brass hulls. It's been a while since physics cl
  10. Got mine in the mail... Very nice packaging... So when I screw it in, do I press down the spring that holds the factory plug, screw in the autoplug all the way and back it out till it clicks (like other plugs), or do I just screw it in until it clicks without holding down the spring? Looking forward to trying it!
  11. He did say it would be at minimum 2 weeks before shipping the initial 20 orders, and he did not give a timetable for the "first 50" or later orders. This means to me that it is going to be a while... As long as it isn't more then the 90 days a credit card company gives you to dispute a charge then it is all good.
  12. I'm waiting for Larue to come back out with their AK Iron dot... (I've got a Dingaz AK sights conversion)
  13. I'm down for one now on the preorder through your website. I'm really hoping this can be the "magic bullet" of low-brass and high-brass mixed in the same magazine.
  14. If there are any left for pre-order then put me down for one as well.
  15. Get a hold of ironwood designs, they make things like that. http://www.ironwooddesigns.com/ They have a slow turn around since its a one-man show, but they make good stuff. Edited to add: If you want less wait time you could get one of these and sand it down to make it fit the larger 12ga barrel.
