  1. Yep No fireing pin spring. Saiga, Norinco 84s,FN FAL L1A1, SKS56,ruger10/22 and I assume all AK variants would lack a spring. No spring is just common in all Semi Autos I have owned.
  2. I use Promag`s in my saiga M3 and like you Im not keen on cutting back the mag catch. My M3 won`t feed the last round either so here is what i did. I just filled a little off the the bottom of the magazine Catch lug so it will hold securely in the Saiga but will also still work in a standard AK rifle. Then I supper glued a small alloy ramp on the foward toung of the Mag follower to just lift the last round to the chamber height and that was it all good to go. If I get rid of the Saiga I just need to remove the Alloy ramp and we are back to Square one. looks like saigas have just been made a ba
  3. What are you looking for? Easiest way is to have someone in the states post them out for you that way you can get the import permit to them and they can box it and post it. Hell this is NZ you must know some expat American who knows someone who.............................Or someone working in Afganistan or Europe.
  4. The 56s is fine. Their were alot of them imported into New Zealand and they are reasonably well made and reliable. Will take most standard AK mags. I have the Norinco 84s, the .223 model and its a far better finished gun than my Saiga. Blued and chromed....no paint to be seen. What sort of price in the U.S are they asking for the 56s. Knackerd ones here are selling for around $700us.
  5. I have a Norinco 84s in .223 and yes it marks the case the same as your one does. I found that it will not mark reloaded cases........I don`t know perhaps something to do with case lube resedue. Any way as I reload and use once fired cases from Police .223 Bushmasters that do not show the dent. Onee reloaded and lubed I can use them repeadedly without the AK kiss turning up on the case`s. Have thought to just try and lube some factory loaded ammunition and see if this also works.
  6. Hell I hope Xbox360 stays on your side of the ditch. Im 14`000miles away and he`s making me jittery. Xbox360 I feel you should be like alot of us or at least myself. start with a Single shot .22cal and as the years pass work your way up to a semi auto, learn to crawl before you start to run with a GUN. In not going to say what I do for a living but so far you have failed, But I like your enthusiasm.....Keep that up.
  7. That makes sence as I had not seen any for sale on the webb in the U.S that were like my one. Though I have seen similar ones for sale in the U.K but single shot as in fire then rack the action to fire again. The stock that was on mine was made up by the importer and in his words done quickly to get them into NZ. I will post a pic once I figuer out how and remembering that I live in the Sticks and can only get dialup on the webb so sometimes its just a no go with pictures. Bought my one to put a nightscope on for deer hunting but that kind of went by the way and have remained with just
  8. Hi Guys!! New Here. Thought some of you may be able to help me out on what I actually have. Its a Saiga in (cyrlic) M3 EXP-01 with a year of manufacture 2003. We have quite strict import laws for semi Autos in New Zealand ,no freestanding pistolgrips No baynet mounts no folding stocks and magazines of 7rds or under.but the Saiga`s are allowed on a standard firearms license so are quite popular including the Verpa. If you have a look on www.trademe.co.nz under sports/hunting shooting you should see a few of whats avaliable here. Back to my one. When I brought it it was new but the side fold
