I've been thinking about picking up a Gunfixer's gas adjuster knob. I was wondering if anyone has any feedback about them: Do the 4 settings really improve performance? Are they as easy to install as they want you to believe? What are the 4 settings designed for (just varying loads)? Is it as easy to adjust as they want you to believe? Any feedback (good or bad) would be appreciated. Thanks

This was pretty cool: So, I was watching "Wednesday nights at the range" on "The Outdoor Channel" when "Sighting-In" was coming on. I watch for a bit and they begin talking about non-traditional shotguns for 3-gun competition. Of course the discussion quickly turns to capacity and speed of reloading and there it was! They showed a guy shooting an S-12 in competition and they went on to talk about its advantages for a minute or two. It was just cool to see the S-12 out there doin' what it does best!

It's a tough job

You have to give the guy a 10 out of 10 for originality...and a 10 outof 10 for absolute stupidity! P.S. I'll bet that guy paid 10 times what it would cost a girl with a hot ass! -
i think the gun itself looks kinda funny but the trigger guard/mag well mod is awesome. i have to second the wondering of how much it costs.

Was thinking about getting the Izhmash made survival knife, but I haven't heard/read too much about it. Anyone have any input on it? i would love to hear from someone who owns one and (being honest) I probably won't read long articles linked to the question. If you haven't seen it, here it is: http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/hun-kni.shtml

That is one of the coolest things i've seen so I saved it to my favorites, thanks for the post. P.S. How did you find this thing? -
I'm new, I appologize if this has been asked too much

Welcome to the community, just a few months ago I was in your shoes. Remember you're doing the right thing by asking questions. After conducting a bit of research on Saigas I found a great deal through a company called Classic Arms Inc. Their web address is www.classicarms.us They have shooting packages as well, that come with a few more goodies to get you started or you can just buy the gun itself. -
Outstanding topic WJ! I have never put a personal view on this issue (even though I am in the criminal justice business). I tend to side on the thought that you should use what YOU are best prepaired to use, a tricked out S-12, a standard Glock 22 or a $200 22LR rifle. Should it come down to it, then it is up to your defense and the fact that you shouldn't have unlawfully used the weapon to keep you from being convicted.

questions for old timers

How did any of the originals even know about Saiga, let alone, start a web forum about them? I didn't find them until about a year ago, granted I'm not super huge into guns (but I'm getting there). Please enlighten me old timers... -
Does anyone know if Glock has anymore RTF (Rough Textured Frame) models coming out? I've been looking at getting a carry size handgun and a Glock 27 is at the top of my list (I already have a full sized M&P .40). I have seen the new RTF model and was thinking that a 27 in RTF would be perfect. If anyone has any inside info., please pass it along.

I purchased my S-12 as a package deal so it came with a case, another 5rd. mag., and a black, nylon padded sling. I've only recently attached the sling and I'm pretty sure that it will be exactly what I need come duck season!
