  1. went back and tried the scope again and looked out a window with it this time, much better, I think you were right that I was just looking at stuff too close, time I had more natural light, the reticule was clear. As I thought about the distance it was less than 100' because I didnt pic up the rifle and point it around the rather large store, as there was a good amount of people so I was looking at things within about 30' instead of 100. Gracias for the info.
  2. it was all within the store which was not that huge maybe 100 feet.
  3. I shoot left handed so i went to a gun store that had some rom psl's in stock with military scopes on them. I decided that shooting them left handed didnt feel that weird for me. I think I am going to try one out. If I dont like it I am sure I can sell for only a bit under what I bought it for. Question: The one at the store didnt have any way to focus the reticule. The sight picture was clear but chevrons and range finder ect. were blurry and almost un useable. The scope had no focus on it. I don't have bad vision and I tried it both left and right handed and it was the same so i
  4. ah ok so the pistol grip on the tapco is moveable? That makes a strong argument for that particular stock. I picked up my rifle today and the trigger is loads better than the saiga 308 I used to own around 2005. Not sure if I will end up converting...
  5. I ordered a saiga 308 carbine. I know most of you guys convert and I will probably convert mine as well in the future, but for legality if I want to get hi-cap mags for it ( as I understand) I have to replace something else as well so I figured it might as well be the stock. So far I have seen the plastic thumb hole stock (draganov esque sorta) and the tapco stock that fits the saiga 308 unconverted. Anything else that has a pistol grip out there that is not crazy expensive? as I may replace it later.
  6. Ordered a saiga 308 16" barrel. Looking at scope options. I want to use it for plinking and hunting. I don't need to crazy optics as I don't shoot over about 400 yards in most cases. Here is what I am looking for. Retention of iron sight use Able to be used left handed 8 or 9x power for a scope. So as far as I can tell, there are three ways I could go. Posp which some have said is hard for a left others have said it is not a big deal. Any thoughts, these allow iron sights and would be sweet any thoughts for lefties? beryl rail from CSS can mount any optic but would
  7. Price reduce 345 +shipping after this it is going on gunbroker
  8. Nope 360+ shipping, 360 is a decent deal for what you getting on this one if you ask me, one of those bipods costs 45$ alone, and the extra mag is like 25$ or more
  9. Pics http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=6329 I have put about 1000 rounds through it, no jams what so ever.
  10. pics, scope has cammo duct tape and some rubber bands I use to hold bits of brush to keep the reflection off my scope minimal when coyote hunting. It looks sorta tacky but would take 2 minutes to remove.
  11. I have one I am thinking about selling. What is your email so I can send pics. I want to sell this for about 360 + shipping. it is the 22 inch version wood stock, has a few dings in it, but overall not bad, metal on gun is good to go. 2 eight round mags ak sling high profile scope mount 1" rings Bi-pod It has a scope but it is sorta broken. It just a spare I had laying around. Bushnell sportveiw, 3x9, but it is stuck at 9 power. I have had it for about 8 months. I like it a lot but I need to pay some bills.
