  1. Between the personal attacks i got in emails saying i would be the direct result of the saiga 12 becomming a destructive device and the Fifteen thousand plus dollars i would have to invest to make this project go through (which i could handle without any problems) i've declined from pursuing this project for a while, its now on the back burner, too many negative opinions in my opinion a direct result from some of you, i was never looking to make millions just to produce a good source of magazines which are not available anymore for a shotgun that we all love and adore, i've been a huge fan of
  2. The only mistake i made was asking the lovers of this shotgun if they would be interested in what i was interested in making, i knew they would be because ever since i bought my first saiga 12 and paid my first 100plus dollars for an eight round mag i always dreamed persay of a cheaper source of higher cap mags...above five rounds, hell my 97 winchester has 5 rounds, i knew i'd buy it if someone built them, i should have just one day posted a thread on this forum as NEW 10RD MAG FOR SALE and just went with that, i have many ideas for accesroies and such, never again will i ever open my fat mo
  3. Opinions are opinions and facts are facts, some people have said that by me making 10rd mags that the atf will turn around and reclassify the saiga 12 as a destructive device, thats a total bunch of bullshit to even say, the atf is not going to reclassify a shotgun to a DD simply because of its magazine capaciety. Striker, streetsweeper, usas12's were around for years before they became DD's, i have recieved several pm's stating...."dont build them or else the atf blah blah blah" give me a break, i'm not some rookie when it comes to guns and laws, my laywer gave me the go ahead so i'm going to
  4. WOW, well the CAD drawings are nearly complete, once they are done the mold will be made (sometime within the next week) i will make 10 magazines for an initial testing, once testing is done i will then begin production. From the begining i chose to make a 10 round magazine simply because it was nice round even number, i never thought i would get the negative response that i have from some of you over capaciety, this next weekend i will be at the machine gun shoot in kentucky, i will have some discussions with some very knowledgeable gun guys and get their opinions on the matter i will update
  5. The ATF is something i've been thinking about, if it is in fact illegal to build them of course i will not, i will call up my local ATF office tomorrow and ask who can answer that question in writing. I'm guessing there shouldnt be a problem, i mean its not a 20 round drum or anything "believe me i've thought of building one of those" imagine how badass that would be, dont get your hopes up on that though. Years ago i had a striker 12 with a folding stock but once they changed it to an NFA gun like a dumbass i sold it and michigan is a non NFA state, curio and relics is the exception, so no m
  6. HOHOHO Its funny you asked for a new bike from santa, sit on my lap young man santa has the bike for you. Selling a motorcycle to fund this project =) 1991 BMW R100GS and its red to boot for your christmas spirit. I had a long talk with my neighbor this mourning, its on a roll, the design will be designed on CAD then milled out on a CNC mill. I will post pictures once the mold is made, ETA within the month.....hopefully... Joe
  7. Well i am happy that theres this much interest in the five hours that i posted my message, i've been asked a few times not just on this board but others as well if i'm serious. I am totally serious, serious enough that i cut an eight rounder, a five rounder and a two rounder in half with a band saw to see the construction. I will get rolling on it tomorrow, as far as price goes i have no idea, but i will tell you they will be one hell of a lot cheaper then the russian mags. Bare with me on this project it i will kepp you all updated. Joe
  8. Hello all I am new to this site, i am wondering if anyone would be intrested in a reliable 10 round magazine for your saiga 12 shotgun, the magazine will be of zytel nylon/injected molded plastic construction, it will be very similar to your eight round magazine except longer and half the price if not less depending on costs of making the mold/materials. The Magazines will be produced for me on contract through a registered military contractor (my neighbor). I want to know if it would be worth it for me to produce these magazines. So, what i would like is to get 100 units sold (without th
