  1. I just heard that my buddy made the front page on the INFO WARS and DREDGE report a couple days ago.

LOL...he's a LVMPD officer who allegedly beat the crap out of a POS camera guy. It's not true though. Sorry I couldn't find the link.

The stratasphere found something wrong in my background investigation which is weird because I passed LVMPD's background. The Plaza loves me but they are down for renovations until Sept.

  4. Nice! I have a 1999 4 runner that my wife drives and it needs a paint job badly. It has 230,000 miles on it but it runs great. Now I just have to talk my wife into desert camo and how sexy she will look in it.
  5. I was bow hunting elk in Wyoming a couple of years ago and a big grizzly came over a hill about 25 yrds from me and my buddy. We saw the bear a split second before it noticed us. When the bear saw us it made a scared loud vocal sound and took off running faster than anything I have ever seen. We were both perplexed and very thankful that it didn't run toward us. There would have been no time to react in self-defense or shit my pants. As a kid my dad would take me camping all the time. One time we were hiking on a trail and we stopped to look at the view. Next thing I know I see a black bear st
  6. +1 on the .45 sub 2000! I had a 9mm and I could hit bowling balls at 100m without much effort. Not bad for what it is, cheap plastic sights and all. I had to sell it when I lost my job though.
  7. Another question. What do you shoot them for? Is it for fur/meat or are you just blowing them away? I can see you needing a small cal, hunting specific round if you plan to harvest any part of that animal but if you just shoot them as pests why not just use something in a general purpose cal? (if you already have one) I want to shoot them for several reasons: 1) For their pelts. My Remington 700 .300 Win Mag is out of the question. 2) Long range food procurement practice. 3) Cures the hunting itch. 4) Cougar bait. No success yet. 5) Most of all, the bastards are eating a
  8. I've also heard this about the 22-250. I believe if i use a heaver bullet like 55-85 gr. and keep the fps in the 3,200-3,500 range I could extend the barrel life to around 4,000 rds before replacing. It's my understanding that the 40 gr. 4,000 fps rounds really burn up the barrel.
  9. I'm in the market for a new coyote rifle but i am conflicted on a caliber. Feel free to chime in on which one you like and why. I would also like to hear your opinions on optics ( cheap low end ) and ammo ( brand, grain and type ) for your caliber choice. I will be hunting between 100 and 600 yrds on mostly open plain desert range. Note: Nevada has no restrictions for hunting coyote. let's hear your

  12. LAPOLICEGEAR.COM has the Blackhawk! I.T.S. ( integrated tourniquet system) pants/shirts on sale for $14/$12. They retail for $90 each! I bought 2 of each and they are very high quality (duh). Great buy in these tough economic times. - Waite
  13. Yeah, I feel your loss, bro. He seemed like quite a character! Life IS so fragile. Times like these remind me to live like every moment might be my last. Condolences. - Waite
  14. Thanks Juggs, that video was very refreshing. God bless all our LEOs
  15. The Bulgarian rounds are copper washed steel. No lacquer on anything. Can't post pics because my kid broke the camera.

    BHO spring

UPDATE: I ended-up using a 1/4'' SAE washer, between the receiver and the BHO, and haven't had so much as a hic-up with the gun in over 2000rds. I've tried to jam this gun up, since all my mods, and i've had no problems, so far. Hope this helps. -
  17. I'm designated heavy weapons/force multiplier in my squad. Yep, I drew the short straw. I'm now using an RPK with a drum to lay down suppressive fire so my squad can move from position to position and take out the threat. I have an assistant who has 2 drums on him but I also keep 10 mags on me in case we get separated or he gets taken out. This requires tons of ammo... Your "squad"? In what organization? The one "we" made.

I have an assistant who has 2 drums on him but I also keep 10 mags on me in case we get separated or he gets taken out. This requires tons of ammo. Being in LV requires me to carry at least 2 gal. of water or more. My load is aprox. 65lbs. I can run a mile with 50lbs of sand in a pack and keep up with with most of my squad but 65lbs is causing me to lag quite a bit. 10lbs nee
  19. Sounds like a plan. I will probably try that too. Suggestion: Try and file a small channel/groove in the BHO where the spring contacts it so that the spring arm will not move and slip off the ledge on the BHO. It is not a matter of spring pressure--just keeping the spring arm in place and immobile. I tried that mod and still had the spring coil slip underneath the BHO.
  20. No cons, other than price. They're great; load up on them. I doubt you will be able to shed 10 lbs just by changing your mags. I think the weight difference is about 4-5 ounces, if memory serves. 4-5 oz each? Multiply that by 10 and thats 50ozs and a good start. I'm cutting weight wherever I can.
