  5. That semi-circular cut in the rear trunnion is done at the factory and was not caused by your shooting. Mine was like that before I ran shell 1 through it. The cavity is there so you firing pin doesn't get peened by repeatedly smacking the rear trunnion when the bolt and bolt carrier do so. Or so others have said/done before... Eric Boom, does not look that way to me... Interesting. I haven't run any 3" through mine (never shoot 3" anyway) and haven't seen the marring as bad as in your pic. The 2 3/4" slugs and Federal bulk pack I normally shoot don't seem overly abusiv

  7. I would guess you'd have to take some material off the sides of the stock which enters the receiver due to the V12 having a thicker receiver compared to an AK or S12, but there have been plenty of folks who have taken AK/S12 stocks and made them fit the V12s with minor fitting. I did just this a couple of days ago with a U.S. made polymer stock originally designed for an AK. Dremel+sanding wheel on the sides and bottom of the stock until it fit in the receiver and it's good to go.
  8. Great buyer. Asked questions before claiming he'd purchase an item and had payment in the mail promptly upon confirming purchase. Fast communicator throughout the entire transaction.
  9. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/80622-russian-magwell-mags-not-locking-up/ I was having issues with Izzy 4s and 8s in my S12 030, but the mags are interchangeable with my V12. Eric
  10. I used the SGM full choke (http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-555/SGM-SAIGA-12-CHOKE/Detail) on my Vepr12 a couple of days ago with some Federal bulk pack 7.5 shot and saw no difference in removing the choke after firing as I did from removing the muzzle nut. It doesn't seem that the minute differences caused the choke to be worked forward on the threads at all.
  11. Unmarked 6 position AR style stock SPF to Corbin. One Tapco 6 position AR style stock set up to work with a tanged AK rear trunnion still left.
  12. Post pics of the supposed S12K here. I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable members can help confirm/deny it's "K" status.
  13. Plus 1 for DOGG. Great buyer with quick communication and prompt payment.

  15. I assume you are referring to something like these...........they are in work as we speak.........should be ready in a couple weeks...... I'd be very interested in a product such as this. What choke models (full, mod, imp mod, etc) will these be manufactured in? Thanks Eric
  16. So I'm cleaning out my parts bin and have some AK and non-AK bits and pieces for sale or trade. Everything is located in Arlington, VA. USPS MO or personal check accepted. Parts will be held until checks clear my bank. I'll ship USPS. If you'd like a different method of shipping and/or insurance the total cost of each will be added to the price. What I'll take in trade: modern F/A Russian AK selector levers, Russian AK105 cleaning rod, Russian Bakelite, true black or plum AK74/47 mags, Comblock optics, AR uppers, ammo (7.62x39, 7.62x51, 5.56x45, 5.45x39). I'm open to other offers as well
  17. Yes, my 030's will cycle the Federal Value Pack stuff with the reduced power spring. They will run the bird shot with the factory spring before you cut down the barrel. Once you shorten to 430mm, they need the slightly softer spring to cycle 100%. I really need to get out and take some cool 030 video. Thanks for the info. I have a reduced recoil spring already so I'll be sure to take it along on the initial range trips for the Federal birdshot. Eric
