  1. if Alito says its ok for machine guns i'd let him be dictator* *all statements made by me today are under the effect of maxocain and other forms of painkillers so take them with a grain of salt
  2. its so pretty.....must buy more saigas....must convert them..... sorry i'm loosing parts of my self control its all these fabulous pain pills the doc gave me
  3. I can tell you this much, i can keep the Altoona, Pa store busy with all the people who love my S-12 and 7.62x39 to death, so tack on at least one of each for there hey gob come on up north of the mason dixon i'll swap some local anti gunners for ya to take your spot in the "freestate"
  4. so does this mean wolverine is going to mod the funny board? just a hope
  5. i could be wrong but i think lithum was one of the members who was saying about the button head screw, i could be wrong though
  6. no family portrait? well just make sure you get some quality time with them
  7. aww come on it would be fun
  8. I've been cooking 75rds out at a time (as long as we are at a private range ) out of my siaga for about a year now. haven't noticed much of a change with the point of impact with the irons. as long as i let it cool down a bit i'm fine with running another one through. i think its more my worriedness than actual damage to the gun. keep blastin
  9. They don't allow you to shoot turkeys with .50 caliber BMG rounds do they?? .50 bmg? well i you going that big why don't you "borrow" a 30mm avenger then again you probaly wouldn't get a thanksgiving turkey...just a couple feathers
  10. ok got the kit almost on there, the only problem i seem to have is with the pistol grip screw and nut, it dosen't seem long enough to reach into the reciever...do i have to order another nut and bolt from Tapco? or do i just find one to make it work? of course there is the possibility that i could just be wrong about it not being long enough but when i put the grip onto the receiver the top of the bolt dosen't seem to come into the receiver.
  11. ok that does look like that is what i need to do with the magwell situation...but i'm just going to have to bite the bullet on this one, for the parts kit i got with it i need help putting it together (ie just someone to make sure i don't break something) the first main problem i'm having is with the rear stock on the Romak 99.1, its a cheap laminate thumbhole and it just seems like it needs more muscle to get it off but i'm not too ready to break it. I have the two screws removed off of the stock but its still tight...any suggestions/ comments would be apperciated thanx joe
  12. Ky, if i remember it wasn't a century import mark it was from somewhere near Virgina Beach, but i'll check the mag well, the NLFD is from Cheaper than Dirt...would that be a factor involved also? Hopefully its just the magwell i'll dig it out before i head back up to college for the week. thanx guys hopefully soon she'll be rockin and rolling and everybody around me will be while i'm over there
  13. Pardon my stupidity but after some monkeying around in the basement i'm not too sure here. I have a Romak 99.1 (which i thought was an AK) so i decided to get a parts kit and do a swap on it, now the only real werid part is the newer hi-caps i bought don't seem to seat (romanian NLFD) maybe the rear locking tab is too thick? Am I wrong to think that this will fit? Any help or comments would be apperciated since this is my first real time modifying in any shape or form. thanks in advance
  14. personally i was wthinking skeet or trap shooting....but that's just me and i'm a little bit off...
  15. usually when i go out blasting, i use my x39, and whetever my friends happen to bring...now i have something to keep my saiga company <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the saiga usally gets to come out to play too...its hard to pass up taking out the x39 when you have a case of barnal
  16. usally mt 12 gauges don't get to do the "disposing" of the computers...the M44 and my 10 gauge usally pick up the slack
  17. The magazines themselves are sturdy but the whole Knoxx drum 'system' leaves some to be desired. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ya my knoxx drum always acts fickle around the 6th or 7th round...i'd rather take a stick also
  18. 50 rounders? i'm always looking for a bigger mag
  19. joe likey and his saiga is hungry i like the styling on it though and for some reason the red floorplate looks better than the factory one (at least to me but i'm nuts). I'll be anxiously chomping at the bit and making sure i leave some $ in the account for whenever you get these out to us.
  20. froggie, if it falls throught let me know i think i can swing the cash and i'm in Pa
  21. I've had my M44 that hot (54r also) but its a 60 dollar gun, once it cooled down and i cleaned it up it was fine but it takes it longer to heat up than the X39 so maybe its made alot heavier than its supposed to be? either way they get hot, we let them cool and just keep shooting and whatever poor peice of target is downrange
  22. i do wonder how hot it gets...and i know rapid fire itsn't helpful to the barrel but does anybody know how much the X39 can take? i mean i know its an AK variant and all but when my buddies and i get together i can tell you that the favorite mag for mine is the romainain drum...
  23. Ya..I was thinking about that too. How close is the feed-tower to a Saiga 12 magazine? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You would have to either have to rework the mag latching system entirely or graft the top half of a Saiga 12 mag to the USAS drum. However the method, it would have to hold the very heavy mag in place and feed reliably. Last time I saw a USAS 12 drum mag for sale it was near the $350+ area. Thats enough to make me think twice before I fire up the Dremel tool. RonSwin <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The last time I saw a usas12 drum was on gunbroker not t
