  1. Thought you had that mounted down at the lake for the geese?
  2. Step 1: Put it down Step 2: Go have a beer (slowly, no shotguning) Step 3: Return to defeat the offending hunk of metal.
  3. If you make your plug the right size you get a "3-0" mag. This mag will load 3 on an open bolt but only 2 on a closed bolt thus there can be a max of 3 shells in the gun total. I thought my Russian 2rd was setup that way. The actual 2rd mag body not the plugged 5rd. But its been so long since I've had it out I can't be 100% sure
  4. As long as the plate is installed correctly I doubt you will ever have problems with it. At least with better than 8k through my Saiga-12 the plate hasn't went anywhere.
  5. Ya that's a standard AK mag in the picture.....and by your picture you have standard AK mag in a Saiga that doesn't have a bullet guide.

Brian won't leave ya out in the cold. All firearms parts/sales are booming right now, so he's a touch busy for a one person operation.
  7. Ahem, We don't all suck in the North. If PA could figure out how to give Philly to Jersey then maaaybe politically things could be different. I know plently of guys that I'm thinking would be welcomed "down south"
  8. I've shot skeet with my modified one, no choke and I do decent with it once I settle down behind the trigger. The stock 22" barrel with rifle sights and a fixed full choke? Not really all that good with it

I was helping out a local shop owner figure out why his personal MD-20 wasn't working when they first came out. Turned out to be a combonation of ammo problems and not filing the tab correctly. Mike was very quick on the warranty. Right, wrong or just plain dumb...I buy MD-20s because I know its a small company that went out on a limb to bring them to market.
  10. That's it, back to 45-70 Govt, lets just hurl those instead of this 55-62 grain nonsense
  11. Come again? You have a 12-C that you want to start swaping out parts on?
  12. Wish I could pick up a spare for my kit, good luck on the sale
  13. As far as the recoil spring assembly, is the screws into the stock tightened down all the way? I had one that used to like to loosen up just enough to ride a little higher and would cause an issue. Is the back of your carrier hitting the inside of the cover when it recoils?
  14. Hopefully she will come around to you. I'm with some others here that takes a peace of mind with knowing there is a special section of eternal damnation for people that abuse their pets.
  15. The gun I shoot has close to (if not more than) 10k through it. No problems on the op rod, carrier area. My "indent" on the rear trunion might be a little more than yours but to be honest with you its not bad at considering the number of shells through it at this point. With your plug is it screwed all the way down then backed off to #1? The magnum setting shouldn't be beating the snot outta ya.
  16. z-mashin, My 03 and 04 guns both have that recess in the rear. Since the one is a safe queen (factory camo gun) I'm pretty sure they get that recess pretty early on in life.
  17. Century is doing the builds, don't know if they have contractors doing the work or if it is being done in house Look in the photo and you can see the "Century C" mark, designating it as an "American " part
  18. Or maybe the guy is just trying to figure out when the first one was imported or who all the importers are? Unfortunately I never bought a .410 so I can't play along
  19. Was this on a kit or something that you built up yourself?
  20. Give us a hint on what part of the state are ya on? That way ya don't have to ship it/travel it any further than you have to.
  21. The real bitch is trying to drill through the weld spot on the trunion that some overzealous monkey went to town on.....
  22. I didn't make it. I have done a couple different things in my local area regarding Saigas because "nobody else works on that Russian stuff". The point I was trying to make was back when I joined this forum the aftermarket parts were all from Russia. The community here tended to be more "how the heck can I do that" as opposed to "I wish somebody would..." Just a different mindset. For all we know the next great thing could come from someone surfing through these pages. Mike Davidson didn't just show up making drums and grips..
