  1. So what's the thread size on the muzzle? I'd kinda like an idea before I cut off the protector so I can shop for a flash hider.
  2. Cheaper than new, effective and held in high regard by the fine people that depend/use it. Makes perfect sense to scrap it... /end snooty sarcasm
  3. So...ya got a name for that background music? I want to push that through the subs in the car.
  4. The "location" map also missed the decommissioned reactor from Saxton, Pa. Just the first commercial one...no big deal.
  5. I remember about two years back there was talk of a "ship" that some tech companies were looking at anchoring just inside international waters. The idea was to have a workplace that you didn't need to worry about immigration/green cards for. I'd imagine there wouldn't be too many companies that could make the investment, but Google would be one of them.
  6. The most popular is "what the hell is that". Then I explain that I'm kinda retarded and it goes on a shotgun, it only confuses people more
  7. They are pretty addicting. 7.62x54.net is a huge wealth of info I haven't shot my Finn yet. I like the sights the best on my New England Westinghouse M91 though. Rifles tend to like light ball (147 grain) while carbines tend to favor heavy (175ish grain). That's pretty general though.
  8. Ya.... i get that alot. Probably why I keep the "male" thing right under the photo. I'd change it but its identifiable and she gets a kick outta the fact that i'm using it.
  9. While I've met a couple people off this forum cold turkey....i can say that I've learned my lesson and I stay back anymore. He would of had better luck going to the forum in my sig line. Lots of Philly people
  10. The range at French Creek is still open. I don't know if I'd be there on a weekend or not due to the crowds. As far as 922r, that's federal. There isn't any sort of mag cap laws in place for PA. The range he is talking about though will probably have a 3 round rule, no rapid fire and paper targets only.
  11. Maryland? Well if you get into any major "wtf do I do now.." moments just come north some. Once I'm setup I'd be able to give ya a hand
  12. For me personally its a change of lifestyle (unfortunately) moving that doesn't let me utilize my Saigas the way they should be. I've notice that as the forum expanded though there has been people that have come and gone, just like in life. Some for the good, some not so good. I know what got me started here was because nobody would work on "an AK" around me. So I came here looking for how to do things to convert the gun. As the bolt on parts became more common we lost the fabricating guys, so we thought less outside the box. Some still do mind you, but it seems with the larger members
  13. Don't worry Tool! Your one of the most stable guys here. Nothing wrong with your brain. At least anything that will show up on the MRI.....Zing
  14. The M72 is the RPK version, I'm crediting the mint Yugo barrel and longer sight radius for my ability to punch steel at 300 yards consistently.
  15. I'm really digging the "Crusader Matchmaking" and "Check" Keep up the good work Drew!
  16. Yugo M72... I'm kinda biased towards "heavier duty" guns. But I just seem to get much better accuracy from that one compared to any other RPK I've shot.
  17. PB blaster soaked in and with a solid screwdriver I gave a pretty healthy smack with a deadblow hammer. I may not of really had to hit the screw with the hammer at that point, but it was rather satisfying.
  18. Got together with one of the guys for a quick test on Sunday. I had to fit the mag to my gun (home conversion 2003 EAA 22" chopped back to 20" and 4th port added)on the rear locking tab (expected) and it wasn't quite enough for his Tromix (Full size not the SBS). Wasn't by much so a little forceful and it fit in his gun also. I was running Federal bulk pack ( # 7 1/2 1 1/8th ounce) and it ran fine through my gun and the Tromix. Tried some Remington game loads ( # 8 1 1/8 ounce ) which my gun I was able to outcycle the mag. The video doesn't show it very well though. I couldn't ru
  19. Have mine fitted up to my gun(s). Have one of the guys lined up for next weeked to take it out and try it in his. I can't get over how beefy it is. A couple of the guys have tried to buy it off me already.
  20. There is a photo of me about 4 years old sitting in a bank office. A family friend worked for the bank and my parents opened a savings account for me. Still have an account with that bank, even though I don't live in the area. Tellers still remember me, perks of being from a small town.
  21. Looks exactly like the gas tubes included in my "Polish armorer kit" that I got from a surplus dealer a couple years back. They were full of Polish underfolder parts
