  1. Yes, I saw that kit but they are sold out. I am going to look for some at a gunshow this weekend.
  2. Ya, I'm not really sure exactly what I'm looking at and how it would look.
  3. I found this on Amazon, does anyone have any experience or know if its any good? The description is: UAG Tactical Tri-Rail Barrel Weaver/Picatinny Light-Laser-Grip Mount For Saiga 12/20 Gauge Shotguns
  4. @wesley3.. do you have any more info? website? I checked out arsenals page but cant seem to find it.. thanks! thats exactly what i'm looking for.
  5. I was wondering if anyone sells a simple rail system for the S12. I'm looking for something that just screws on to the bottom of the stock handguard. I'm going to get the Krebs ghost ring sites so I dont want anything that gets in the way of that.. Basically I just want to mount a flashlight on the bottom of the handguard. Does anyone have any ideas??
  6. I just got mine converted with the black laminate and I can tell you it looks beautiful!
  7. Dude: $340 out the door. Buffet: It is going to be sweet! I cant wait to see how that black laminate wood looks.
  8. OK! here's the update.. I decided to let him do it. He does a good job, (he did my Saiga 12). While I wanted to take it on for the pure adventure of it, I just dont have the time and I know I would have parts laying around the garage for months! Thank you all for your input. To buffetdestroyer.. I'm not too concerned about the welded holes, this is a $300 rifle that I want to make legal and functional, with a badass black laminate stock set! I have an M1 Garand and a 1903A3 that are my "pretty" rifles! If anyone is in the Phoenix area and wants a fair, well done conversion, email me and I wil
  9. Ok, heres the deal! I have a 762x39 that I want converted. I want to put on the black laminate tapco timbersmith set as opposed to the plastic stuff. I have never done a conversion myself but I found a guy who can do it for $340 all parts included (including stock set). My question is how much would I save if I did the conversion myself and is it worth paying someone else to avoid the hassle. I heard that installing the tapco stocks can be a bit of a pain.
  10. Do you have to buy additional parts in order to make those fit? I really like the looks of that black laminate!
  11. So I have another stupid question. When I bought the Saiga I bought a us made 30 round magazine.. I dont understand how that magazine is legal but a steel ak mag isnt.. 30 rounds is 30 rounds right? This 922r is pretty ridiculous as I understand it.
  12. Damnit! Ok, next question.. do you happen to know who makes a comparable set of wooden furniture that is made in the US?
  13. I have a saiga 7.62x39 and I have zero interest in converting. However I am planning on installing a bullet guide so I can use Hi cap mags and I also plan on installing this stock. http://www.saigastock.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31&products_id=198&zenid=d54aa91ff3d2d6e404d5f9c1648b76ac What else would be the easiest and cheapest mod to make this thing legal?
  14. I was curious as to the best way to store a Saiga 12. I currently just have mine in the safe with a loaded magazine on the shelf above it. Will it wear out any parts to have a magazine inserted with the bolt locked back? I tried to keep a loaded magazine against the closed bolt but it distorted the first round. Thanks for any input!
  15. I'm looking for new sights for my Saiga 7.62x39, any ideas? I would prefer a peep sight/ghost ring that isnt too expensive and is fairly easy to install. Thanks.
