yup, no problems running all types of ammo with any of the Vepr's. I read your post concerning operations post barrel chop and not sure what more I can add. I did polish the bolt and bolt carrier prior to the chop & thread of the barrel.

Make your way west and we can knock it out in less than an hour. After measurements are set I cut the barrel with an industrial hand held pipe cutter & smooth the burr's Thread the barrel with proper tap & die (purchased back in 07 or 08) Silver solder with standard torch and MAPP gas Paint Probably did 15-20 barrels over the years & never had an issue. Pretty straight forward.

A few Vepr's and a lone Saiga
-
I currently have four Saiga 12’s fully converted w/ all the bells and whistles and have converted for friends and family no less than fifteen Saiga 12’s over the past decade. I bought my first Vepr 12 last November and haven’t looked back. In my opinion we are comparing a Dodge Neon with a Hemi Challenger. Everything about the Vepr 12 is right concerning fit, function and finish. The Siaga’s I have handled well…not so much.

When picking a screen name I looked at the pack of Juicyfruit gum sitting on my desk "now with improved flavor" hence improved.flv -

I have a mortgage on Kent's east hill area and have completed 5 Saiga conversions. Got all the tools required and a Duracoat spray booth for post conversion goodness. I am on deployment until the end of August but can help you in early September when i get home.
