  1. It looks like a saiga 308 just with a .243 barrel. Which would make sense since the .243 is a .308 case necked down to .243. It would be nice to have one. They'd be great for black tail!
  2. DAMNIT!!!! I go out of town for 1 weekend and I miss this! I've been wanting a factory 2/5 since I started hunting with my Saiga... Oh well, next time I guess.
  3. I wouldnt keep a mag loaded with slugs unless I lived somewhere where bears were an issue. But I tell you what, I wouldnt want to get shot in the face or chest (or anywhere for that matter) with bird shot from across any room in my house. At that close range it hardly has time to spread. So a 3" #6 would sure do some damage if thats all you had or were seriously worried about over penetration. All that being said, I keep 2 mags loaded with Hornady Critical Defence 2 3/4" 00 buck. No kids here and I live in a house with redwood plank walls and about 100 years of paint and wallpaper layered up.
  4. Just like everyone else has previously stated, run some ammo through it and it'll stop rattling. I used mine for turkey and got a nice head/neck shot from about 35 yards. I work with a bunch of Good ol' Boys and they laughed at me when I told them I was taking my Saiga turkey hunting. I got a nice 17.5 pounder with 1" spurs. Not bad for my first bird.... Good luck. I hope you've been practicing your turkey calls.
  5. I also work for an FFL and there are none available from all of the distributors we deal with. I've been lookin for a 16" for a little while. I'm happy with my 22" .308, my 16" x39 and my S12 but I'd still like to get a 16" .308. Good luck with the search and keep us posted if you ever come across any. What part of CA are you gents from?
  6. Just to let you know, there is no "legal "hi-cap mag use" in CA unless they are pre-ban magazines that were in your possession before the ban went into effect or the owner is a LEO. And it is illegal to sell or have hi-caps transported into the state unless they are in parts kit form and they MUST be blocked before use. Please dont sell felonies on our board. If you have any questions regarding assault weapon identification, read through the PDF file on this page, specifically pages marked 71 and 72 : http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/awguide/awguide.php
  7. Bayonets are perfectly legal in CA. Just not the spike bayos. If you ever have any Q's about assault weapon characteristics in California, go to this page: http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/awguide/awguide.php
  8. I have a few ProMag 10's and they work great. The first one needed a little bit of a break-in but once I ran a few rounds through it, it functioned flawlessly. I still love my AGP 10's, but the drums are very nice as well. I also have a 10 round ProMag stick mag that was a piece of crap until I put an extra AGP spring I had in it. I dont recommend those unless you just have to have that waffle pattern and are willing to shell out a few extra bucks for the AGP spring. I'm pretty sure Chaos is working on an 8 or 10 round drum. I absolutely must have a few of those. It sure would be nice if MD ma
  9. Thats pretty sweet. Playing a 6 string guitar is challenging enough, but 27... that takes some real talent. Heres a pretty cool video of a guy playing an 11 string bass. and a kid playing 2 guitars at once http://www.youtube.com/user/ZackKim#p/u/35/P-B4sjUve3E And a pretty rad video of Victor Wooten making 4 strings sound like 27.
  10. You lost me. Does an AK have to be in the 7.62X39 caliber to be considered an AK? Have you heard of an AK74? Its in 5.45x39. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK-74 They are referring to the AK action, (The receiver, gas system and bolt/carrier)
  11. I went out on an Ocean Kayak Trident 13 today and caught 11 Black Snapper (kept 9) I used a Pflueger Echelon 7' combo rod. I was using Calcutta shad swim bait. The one on the top was about 18" The Honey Hole!
  12. That's That's Redundant Redundant.... Did you ever live near Grand Rapids Michigan??? Its a quote from Austin Powers: Goldmember. Nope, never lived in Mi. Why?
  13. "There's two things I cant stand in this world: People intolerant of other people's cultures, and The Dutch".
  14. I have a 10/22 that is great if I use factory mags but sucks ass with ALL other mags even ones with metal feed lips. I would recommend a Sig Sauer 522. By far the best .22 I've ever fired. 30 round mags are readily available at an affordable price. You cant go wrong with a Sig.
  15. What caliber is it? .222 is the caliber the cartridge is 5.45x39 5.45 the OTHER x39 Dont forget about the .30 RAR, the other 7.62x39... I'm curious to see this new rifle they will be manufacturing.
  16. Yeah, the gun laws here are fucking stupid, but I make due with what I CAN have and I'm just thankful that I can own a Saiga 12. I'm only about an hour and a half south of Oregon and I've contemplated moving there many, many times. I wish more companies would cater to the CA market...*COUGH* MD Arms *COUGH* but my AGPs and my ProMag drums will have to do until Chaos makes the 8 round mini drum or (fingers crossed) Mike makes a 10 round double stack...
  17. Had a little bit of fun down at the river bar today!
  18. See, this is the problem with chain e-mails. They steal a photo, take it out of context, and pass it around without any credit. This image is from a much larger set, from a blog post about Navy Seal: Skull Infidel. It was first posted in September 2009. As one of the posters above said, these are 1/6 scale dolls. The original set of photos: http://nerdpride-cra...ll-infidel.html I stand corrected. And hey, fromxtor, kiss the fattest part of my ass for the -1, The clothes, shoes, and guns looked too real on my little monitor and someone said they were COD figures which th
