PTR rifles are quality but I would stick with the 308 version. The PTR 32 is a little picky about mags with most steel mil surp mags require some fitting. If you could use your AK mags w/o any modification it might be worth a closer look. The platform is heavy and intended to chamber a full power 7.62 round, why put up with the extra weight if you aren't taking full advantage of the engineering. You'll lose some ballistics with the shorter barrel but it will significantly outperform the PTR32 so why not... Might be worth checking out the Vector V51's which generally use PTR receivers an

Someone had commented that there were some 8 rounders out there that didn't fit properly. My mags showed up today and fit just fine so this batch should work for others as well. Reassuring at this price point... Pricey but nice and no telling when they'll be back in stock so I'm glad I picked up a couple.

As others have said, KVAR is charging more for these than they should but the law of supply and demand is very much in effect. My other mags are AGP's and they work just fine but I wanted a couple factory 8 rounders to round out my collection. At these prices, I certainly can't justify buying more.

Hey Cameron, I just got my Saiga 12 back from CGW with the CQC and a number of other Chaos parts installed. Very happy with the aesthetics and quality overall but I can't seem to remove the cap to expose the gas tube. It looks like you're supposed to depress the button and twist or pull to remove but it doesn't want to come off. What am I missing? Thanks in advance! Todd
