  1. Mass is on Sunday night for me, so I will light a candle for you. i have a few buddies now with some health issues.and I wish them all the best.and Nathan keep punching it will all work out.Semper-Fi. Ron K.
  2. Thanks guys for the kind word's.it sure does put a different perspective on day to day living. no reason to get upset with trivial stuff.{ did not seem trivial at the time} just a second chance to do good and to keep staying in shape, because as strange as it may sound, some don't get a second chance. One time and pfft! all gone. so when you want to blow your top or shout and cuss at somebody. think twice. I used to be like that Vulture in the tree stalking, and saying i have got to kill something today.{ well that mannerism anyhow} now its give somebody a chance or a break, the
  3. Well it has been awhile since i posted.and having a Heart Attack in July, sure threw me for a loop. and even former Marine P.T. instructors get them.I can tell you guys one thing, "Every Day Above Gound is a Good Day" and it's good to be back, a lot of reading to catch up on.hopefully everybody is having fun with the "Good" stuff. and staying fit,it was just God's way of tapping me on the shoulder to slow down.but keeping me around to tell other Devildog's Semper Fi. Ron K. P.S. and i got a kick out of the articles in S.A.R. magazine on the Saiga.
  4. Tony too bad I missed you three years ago.i was over at the K/VAR tables then.and yes a very different bunch at s.a.r. sometime's. and no sense{cent's$} to waste good build time on selling two gun's at a show.plus the table and travel expense.I've done that for over 35 year's.{ I'll never get that time back}now its to say hell=o meet old friends, and check out the latest stuff.{ not much of that anymore either} and you are doing what you do best. and mostly some show's are 90% talk.and 10% I will take it. most local ones around here now are not worth the parking and entrance fee anymo
  5. I have had tables and been to the s.a.r. show since its inception.and have never seen a "Tromix" s-17 or other model's on display or for sale, { so i might have missed that if any had been for sale or on display} in last few years, and I refuse to bring one myself...to have everybody ask whats that? and handle and fondle it all day long.and Jack the bolt back twenty time's. maybe in a locked glass case. however this year I'm having a standard S-12 converted over to a folding stock pistol grip model, { by another local smith} as my shooter and display gun. as my current S-17 "Tromix" and an
  6. a DEALER from p.a. told me he sold a S-17 for $3,000.00 new in box. and had another demo model for the same price.{ has not sold it yet} and takes it to show's for display, probably to stir up Saiga 12 sale's.that is the highwest price I have heard for a S-17 Tromix to date.i guess the areas things sell in are different also.since i have seen some converted Saiga-12's{ grip and standard stock}sell for $900.00 around here. and not a Tromix to be found.Ron K.
  7. Maddog I'm sure you will be very pleased in what you get from Tromix.when mine arrived I liked it so much I wanted another. it really is a very limited item.when you consider how many Saiga's are out in the market.it doe's have that "Cool Factor" already worked into it. best regards Ron K.
  8. And some say that triplets are work! Ron K.
  9. Called the guy this morning, acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Well maybe Ted does not want people bothering him.or wanting to sell things now.thats the best way to blow people off. but thats okay. its his business in who he deals' with. and I never said he was in the market to sell anything. you asked me who had it.> and that is the info you wanted< he will be back in town for sar. show in Dec.and I will ask him abou it. i have no reason to make crap up. I'VE been a ffl/sot for over 37 year's.and i sure as heck know what i do. but won't answer for anyb
  10. you had to do that a "SHORTY" on brown leather. oooooh Ron K.
  11. as somebody mentioned here all sizes to float your boat. or trip your trigger.but guys you have to admit the "Shorties" look good.a few phx sar show's back i had another side by side 12 gauge. 8 inch barrel's with pistol grip in a violin case. the gun got more looks then any ten tables near me. and i was in the m.g.section. not the beany baby rabbit foot. beef jerky isle. I had three buyers for it. and sold it that first few hour's.it was all about the look's. and massive twin barrel's. I have another just like it now that is over 25 year's old.blued and walnut wood.and i'm sure if
  12. no matter what you have. You have to like the look of Bob Ash shorty. its "over the top". Ron K.
  13. I sent you the info. remember he chased me to sell this one to him.along with a few other rare gun's.{ that you normally don't see.}so not sure if he would sell it.ask him about my long gone ak collection.including all the Dragunovs...had alot of fun doing it for decade's.another one may be harder to turn up then a "Drag folding para model" i hunted "Rare" stuff my whole life. now its fun to have others on the search.regards Ron K.
  14. my three cents.... as a former Marine/having all sorts of crazy stuff since the 60's.I like the eight, so darn much I ordered two of them. and also have a 19 standard saiga, that I'm having converted to folder and grip.with front site and hider.so the best of both world's, for myself. the shorty really gets the look's. one buddy thought it was a Micro Galil shotgun at first. with a saiga some like it short. just like a Dragunov sniper like them long.{ however the russkie's.} did go to shorter barrel on the "Para " model.I know i tried to import one for year's..it looked right! s
  15. looks exactly like the one i sold about three or four years ago. L.E. model shorter barrel folder.it was supposed to go to L.E. or military buyer only. the guy was class three dealer so it was okay for him to buy it. I can't say i miss it. since i have a "Tony" 12 now. and really like it way more.good luck with the project. I know the dealer in texas still has it in inventory.probably in still new { mint cond} they are fun gun's. Regards Ron K.
