  1. Any news on when you're getting any more of these? I'm also interested in an 8-rounder if the price is right.
  2. $40 for an 8-round saiga magazine... sounds almost too good to be true.
  3. I bought mine primarily for hunting purposes... these things are designed for anything you can throw at them... I don't go skeet/trap shooting though, I'd bet you'd want a bolt hold open built into yours if you are planning on using it for that. I don't have one, ergo... I don't need one. Mine is still the same as it came, except with a stuffed stock and a blackjack buffer.

I'm sure if we could jack a shipment of those 8-rounders from Izhevsk, we would have enough for everyone here. In russia, american dollars, work wonders.
  5. I don't drink beer man, that shit is for teenagers. I prefer good cognac.
  6. It's not that I haven't seen 9 deer in one day before, but I just don't have that many mouths to feed. I was once hunting and heard two shots from where my dad was sitting... I go there and he got two deer. One died right it was hit, the other like 20-30 meters away. That pump winchester he was using sure is something to be reckoned with.
  7. I think I tried it with mine and there wasn't enough room for 9th shell... I use it for hunting anyway... so I can just chamber one round by hand and load the 8-rounder. The end result is the same, 9 round capacity, I only have one 8-rounder anyway. But for deer hunting, 8-rounds is 7 slugs too many.
  8. Yeah, me too Indy... I'd buy some 7.62x39's and a couple .308 to boot. I needed a 12ga. for deer hunting and I got one, besides, it's nice not to have that corolla, piece of shit, anymore.
  9. I bought my S-12 for $306 I think including the taxes and $50 transfer fee. This was when I heard they stopped importing them. I only bought one, though... it's not like I'm building an army here.
  10. When I go deer hunting with my saiga-12, I always load up so that I don't make lots of noise in the woods. Call me stupid if you like, but I would consider deer hunting with an empty chamber a crying shame. At least it would be when I scare away that once in a lifetime buck by cocking the bolt when he is already in sight.

    S-12 mags

PM who? I would certainly be interested in more 12ga. mags for my saiga. I've got one 5-rounder and one 8-rounder... one more couldn't hurt.
  12. How much does a Saiga 7.62x39mm go for nowadays? I'm kind of interested in getting one.
  13. So, this will fit any unmodded saiga-12?
  14. 8-rounders on ebay used to go for $200+ at times... I've got only one, which I got for $70 plus about $10 shipping from Finland. But I'm holding on to it... I personally really need a wooden rear stock like Bvamp has or used to have. I would be interested in another 8-rounder, but they are scarce and expensive. A friend of mine went to Russia and couldn't even find them there. Maybe building domesticated mags for the saiga-12 wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

    rail system

I wish mine looked like that... mine is in the sportier configuration... I don't really like the hollow stock, makes it nose heavy. I wish I could get a wooden stock to replace the plastic shit.

    Holy Grail found?

I haven't been in here for a while, but you could definitely put me down for two of those. I'm a patient man, I just hope they're completed before the start of WWIII; chinese got 30round mags for their AK's. I need a couple mags like this to help even the odds.
  17. Ooooo! I really want that bottom one for my s12. Then all I would need is a wooden buttstock and I could get that traditional look without the hassle of converting to pistol grip.
  18. They look really good... I especially like the S12... I wish mine would look like that.
  19. Good point kmoore. I may just use the 5-rounder for hunting. I guess I should get another 5-rounder, but $45 for a replacement mag seems a little pricey. I like how the wooden AK look alike conversions look. I just like a wooden stock because, to me, it seems more traditional... especially in an AK. Mine is a bit nose heavy. I need this thing purely for hunting and self defense. Target shooting just helps improve my aim for when I go hunting. I have fired less than 100 rounds through mine. Anyone remember that gold plated AK74 in the lord of war movie?
  20. Good thing I only went deer hunting for a couple days and didn't run into anyone... a couple LEOs did hunt with me, but I only saw them after I had packed everything away, and was in the car about to head home. It's also good that since last deer season I only take the 8-rounder with me when I go to the neighborhoods that LEOs are afraid to enter. And the DNR station may not be far away, but there aren't many things natural in such neighborhoods... except cannabis that is. As far as the conversion goes... too expensive. Like, price of the gun expensive... and I have no idea where t
  21. Well, I kind of like the wooden stock saiga with AK47 furniture; I guess I'm a bit old-fashioned. I don't really know how to convert and I'm just a poor/lonely college student/goldsmith... I can't really afford such things. I live in an attic and eat honey for breakfast.
