  1. Consider throwing in an AK-47 made of GLASS just like this one: source: A study of Kalashnikov Vodka (offkalashnikov Museum Virtual Tour site)
  2. here is a pic from official Izhmash shop in Izhevsk (shop's name is "Saiga 2" - "2" denotes it's the second Izhmash's shop, not a secret Saiga model Lots of nice wooden furniture here... source: Kalashnikov Museum Virtual Tour site

  4. Consider a Korsak-22 (aka Corsak-22) laser if you can get it. Cobra once wrote about it: A++I purchased the one in the photo above and can vouch for the integrity and stability under fire. I tested it with winchester slugs the other day. Unlike another laser I tried before this one, it at least still works after a live fire test. I ran out of ammo before I could get it dialed in good but now that I have my Kobra sighted in I will adjust the laser to the same POA and try it again. I will give a report after I get some more ammo. (soon) I will post a thread about it. From just bore
  5. It looks nice in the photoshop montage. Kudos to the guys for making it! Izhmash will be jealous
  6. Even in Russia, $600 is rarity. E.g. IzhArsenal shop ( http://www.izharsenal.ru/shop/00000679/im00005/a0046687.html ) lists Saiga-12K Taktika for 20 465 rubles (~832.561 USD) However, online shop e-guns lists Saiga-12 for 14400.00 rubles (~586.223 USD) http://shop.e-guns.ru/cgi-bin/shop.pl?what=ttx&ttx=70192 So, you just make somebody in Russia get it for you and manage to ship it here
  7. Speaking about those Izhmash affiliated shops (those in Russia of course) - one of them, Legion, lists 8 rounder for Saiga-12 for 1550 rubles - it's roughly $63. the price was valid for Dec 27 2007 Saiga mags at Legion site (in Russian) or translated by means of Google Translate: http://google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2...sl=ru&tl=en Google translated Russian word "magazine" as "Shop" - like "Shop 8" - that's indeed most widespread meaning of "magazine" in Russia cause it's a place where one would buy, say Vodka Kalashnikov
  8. 12 gauge, plus LOTS of 8 rounders. I'm a sucker for the real firepower.
  9. Oh my...it was the funniest thing I read in MONTHS. There is no such thing as walking in to Izhmash and get super popular items at a bulk price. Izhmash likes it to keep stuff to themselves and distribute via their own affiliate shops. And mind you - even an official Izhmash shop down in Izhevsk does not have ANY eight rounders in stock, and that being for last, like, 5 years - you virtually have to HUNT S-12 8 rounders down, even in Izhmash's homecity. as for Oleg of Rusmilitary - I believe he's got a pretty close relative or such at RosOboronExport in Moscow.
  10. I went to check ak47-guide site today and saw that they made their virtual tour of The Kalashnikov Museum available to public - Free Virtual Tour of the Museum of Mikhail Kalashnikov, the designer of AK-47M The picture of stand with Saigas and Vepr is down the page (S-12 is the rightmost in the stand) - do you think these are original Saiga models made back in 70s or are they current makes?
  11. The offer still stands - come get it guys for $120 and in two weeks your belowed S-12 will look real bad ass

  14. I've been in touch with Chris by email and he'll be WU me, but I just feel like commenting on this since it's posted to the forum. Yes I do, and I have quite a few lasers on hands, so everybody is welcome to order. Current price is $120 (incl. shhipping to US). Lasers do get thru Russian customs OK. It was SWAT pistol grips that got turned down. Chris mixes two things here. A merchant can issue refund while his account with, say, Payzip remains active - there are reserve funds in there that are sufficient to issue occasional refund. But Payzip is down and most lik
