  1. Your going to need to go up to probably 4ports at .093" minimum due to chopping 4" off. Even though youre going to perm attach a muzzle break, it will not act like an 19" barrel due to the ports and such. 4 ports at .078" is what gets most factory guns running reliably. Actually, I would look into adding a 5th port at .078" and go from there.
  2. Do you have a link, doesnt need to be a direct link, just leave off the .com to satisfy the forum requirements. Ive looked at their webpage but failed to find just the rear sight listed, or do you have to call? How much for just the rear?
  3. I did see in a thread where a guy purchased a Dinzag modified lower handguard and he was having issues with the handguard tilting up due to the absence of the heat shield removed and/or too much material was removed. Has anyone else experience this?
  4. Thanks for the reply guys. Bunker, was changing the release lever necessary?
  5. I know this has been asked multiple times before, but I cant find it. Sorry, search fu is weak. Two questions actually. Guys who have modified ak47/74 handguards to fit the S308, where all does material need removed? Sides and bottom? Also, are you guys removing the heat shield to make room or can it be retained somehow? Any pics. And lastly, any one have a preference of Dinzags bolt-on steel handguard retainer or the DPH that CSS sells that is also steel. Not interested in the aluminum version. About the only difference I could tell is the Dinzag uses 2 set screws vs the DPH that only
  6. Are these interchangeable with AK 47/74 variants? I have all the tools to press rivets and prefer the cleaner lines of a 1pc unit. I pick up my Saiga monday but was trying to get a jump on parts ordering. Thanks.
  7. You can still use the all thread method.
  8. All you need to do is mill the trunnion or thin the latch. If it were me, I'd mill the trunnion. It's not hard to remove a barrel from the trunnion, the trunnion from the receiver, and re- rivet when your all done. If you have the skills to do a folder install, then the rest is easy.
  9. Yeah. That's the same system I'm talking about and linked above. They changed their name from skunkwerks13 to sabrewerks13.
  10. I would have thought by now someone would have chimed in with personal experience. Come on guys, would someone order one of these and give us an honest review. Go for it!!!
  11. The original receiver can be cut for a side folding stock. Has been done before. If you buy one of the pre-built zastava m92 pistols, then the rifle will come with an underfolder rear trunnion however it does not have any of the cut outs, basically it's a virgin rear trunnion. I don't understand what your saying about the front trunnion.
  12. Stupid phone jacked up the post. Yeah. That was it.
  13. Badass dude. Looks just like the 5t dump truck we rode in during the 2003 Iraq invasion after our hummv broke down. Thing was a b**** trying to get in and out of in a hurry. Served us well though.
  14. Its definitely been done before, at least bottom rails.

I ended up selling one of my past s12s just so I could buy another. I had it in my mind I wanted a wood-stocked gun and dinzags rsb mod for that classic ak look.

  18. You should be able to use the all-thread method. Either way, your going to have to exert pressure on the muzzle. As long as you still have threads under that brake and not just a press fit, you should be good to go.
  19. Thanks man. I just ordered a 308 from KVAR, so I hope I get the same measurments on mine. If so, I think I will be adding the KOP system, shortening the barrel to 18, threading for 5/8x24, moving the front sight back, and adding a bonesteel arms AR buffer tube stock with magpul CTR. Should make for a good DMR.
  20. KVAR has the IZ-139s in stock. Black synthetic stocks, 21.8" barrel.
  21. Well. weve got some conflicting info. Pooling said .882 and bunker has .887. Thats way to much variance, so one has to be measuring at the wrong place on the barrel. If Bunker's measurement is correct, then the KOP system will work, as it falls in the .886-.888 range.
  22. It appears so. You can see the hammer and trigger axis pins are in there normal location and operate via a trigger linkage system similar or exactly like the nuetered saigas as one can tell by the two rivets just above the trigger.
  23. Im not seeing it. unfold the adapter and measure from behind the flange of the Internal adapter and measure to the outside of the "male" portion on the ACE adapter.
