  1. Thanks for the heads up on the underfolder! I'm going to call & speak with the top tech guy at Kvar, I hear he is very familiar with the M-7.
  2. Called Arsenal: they said the FCG, pistol grip and under folder stock are US. They explained the two piece forearm is considered 1 part. If I replace the Bulgarian forearm with a Polish forearm is that considered a push? If so then when I replace the pistol grip I'll need to add 1 us part. I found out Kvar sells Bulgarian mags that have the follower and end cap changed to US = 2 parts. I've got to call back on Monday and speak with their top tech person to confirm these mags will function fine in the M-7 as well as confirm I'm in compliance with 922®. Has anyone had experience with th
  3. Looks like no one has this set up so I have all three parts inbound. I'm on the road for a few weeks but when I return I'll post pic's!
  4. Thanks Dogman! I ordered one of their "Lightening hole shrouds" which is what I believe you posted. That makes 4 left on MAA's site although they have more in stock for the other options. Pay close attention if ordering - I almost ordered the "blind hole shroud" by mistake so.
  5. Guess I need to call Arsenal or Kvar and find out exactly which parts are US vs Bulgarian.
  6. I just purchased my first AK and have not had a chance to try to contact Arsenal. It came with a pistol grip. I purchased a beautiful Polish Army wood set and was planning on replacing the pistol grip and two piece forearm. After reading several threads on 922® I'm wondering if that will be legal without replacing other parts. Does anyone know for sure?
  7. Sorry but I just realized you specified a Saiga! Since you have not stated that you already own an AK; you could purchase one with the under folder stock. I just purchased my first AK; an Arsenal SAS M-7 with the under folder.
  8. The Kross tri rail is on the way. I like Cobra's vented as cover with the Kross. I also like the Mississippi Arms barrel shroud. Now does anyone have this exact set up on their S12 and can post some pic's? Thanks, Michael
  9. I finally realized that I needed to remove a bit more from the top, Fitting A,....click....how sweet the sound.
  10. Give me a few days to box up that old ammo which is probably defective by now and I'll send them together
  11. Are you saying that I need to file the rear catch "Fitting B" so it is move of a deeper angle or are you saying to round the edge? I believe the fitting video said not to round the edge though.
  12. I compare it to the Russian S12 mag that has that distinctive "click". I also noted that once the Russain mag is in the mag release is pointing at about 6:30 but the MD-20 is straight down at 6:00. Anyone else had this experience during the fitting process? I did have to remove very little, per the instructions for "Fit Check A" and also removed a little from Check B. It now feels firmly locked with little effort. The fitting video mentions that it can appear to be locked but not fully. Anyone experienced this? I'm waiting for MD Arms to reply to my email.
  13. There ya go....it was too simple for me
  14. Thanks for the photo! I'm surprised that they stay intact with just that bend in the leg.
  15. Just about to complete my S12 conversion. It looks like each leg just catches behind the trigger by the slight bend in the cable/spring. Is this correct? If so it just seems like it couldn't stay there without being attached more securely.
  16. First conversion update and a tip for other newbie's like myself. Being rather mechanically challenged I got a buddy to assist. My conversion included the Tromix DIY trigger guard and the Tromix FCG, Tapco AK SAW pistol grip, Tromix LS folding stock with an internal block and folding mechanism. I researched numerous threads showing step by step and downloaded several video's! Sounds like we had a lot of difficulty compared to the posts of others attempting this. The main problems were getting the two springs attached to each side of the receiver, one is called the "Shepherds Crook". Stay wit
  17. Is this what it looks like: http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/index.p...products_id=626
  18. Thanks Moe! My conversion was set to begin at 9:00 tomorrow morning - I'll add this to my file to guide me through - perfect timing and great job!
  19. Bvamp: thanks for the personal inspection! BTW: I have ordered the Gunfixr gas plug! PM sent!
  20. Okay I can't see squat with a flash light and magnifying lens BUT I did take a plastic tipped probe. Inside the center of the "large hole" appears to be the first gas port and is the only one in plain view then above it at 11:00 and 1:00 are two more. You're right then I've got three....let the conversion begin
  21. Count me in! They stopped having their regular MG shoots aroud the first of the year...so happy to hear about this one! Thanks Bvamp. I'll try to round up 3-4 other guys.

    Range Bags

I've got the Midway bag - an awesome bargain at $39! I only carry pistols in it since I have a few smaller cases for my HK's, using it for all my gear, tools and ammo and yes it gets heavy. The brass bag is nice if you are reloading for your pistol / rifle casings. Once I get the Tromix side folder I'll measure and order one to fit from a local supplier here in FL. Very reasonably priced and they make it to your length.
