    (1) Finding cheap dingy places to drink Philippine San Miguel in Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Without loosing My wallet or My head.
(2)Building / Modifying Kalashnikov type Rifles and Shotguns
  1. Great job! Will have to try it myself. I read on another post, that a belt sander works well on removing the finger grooves.
  2. From Your list, I would go with the SIG 556. The other two look like a AR/M-16/M-4, why not just buy a stripped lower and make the rifle You want? You can even get a Monolithic upper with all the Tacticool rails. Of course if you are feeling especially "Starship Trooperish" You can't go wrong with a FN-2000. Blackshoesnipe
  3. I went with a Polish RPD. I had Pirate over at Project guns over in Boca Raton, Fl Build one for me Beautiful work, and both "Pirate" and "Firearms Alchemist" are great guys to deal with. Heck, if You want to do the work Yourself He'll even help You with that. Check out there websight for more info.
  4. I'm on the fence now, I would like to get the parts and do the conversion myself. Then I hear about us_dragunov and red dragon ______ importing them soon. If anyone has information about when the Sporterized Saiga-12-030 shotguns will be in the US, and how much they are going to cost, please let me know. It will cost around $1000.00 to get option 1&2 from Oleg. So I figure $1,500 for a complete sporterized version would be reasonable. Also the 030 gas piston and puck is a bit different from a regular S12.http://forum.saiga-12.com/uploads/monthly_10_2010/post-20332-023523200%20
  5. Thanks Paulyski, Good to know. I'll happily shell out $69.00 for something more compact (length wise) than a AGP-10, and gives me +2 rounds. Hell, if my Saiga likes it, and it doesn't need fitting, I can always sell it. Honestly for me, drums are just something (really, really fun!) to play with. Russian 8's or the Mystical double-stacks are what I really want.
  6. I bought an Izzy "Pussy-Pad" for the Girls. Bruising and broken blood vessels, are one of the joys of shooting 12ga. kinda like sore muscles after a good workout.
  7. Thanks for the revue and the pic's! Mostly I have heard that these mags are marginal at best, but I might just buy one now for shits and giggles. +1 to the "hell Yeah!" effect of the MD20.
  8. ? Sorry Up late, babbling incoherently: Open mouth, insert foot, and slam knee into bulkhead repeatedly!
  9. If us_dragunov starts importing them, how much will they cost? I might be interested, but I would rather build/ Modify one myself. To Mike123456: You are right, the Mags are pricey. Although I have heard You can Mod other US mags to fit. Not sure if the LRBHO would work with US mags though. My first AK build years ago was a Yugo M-92 "krink", that was back when a kit was only $500 or so. I still have it & it isn't for sale. Other than the bolt hold open, the Saiga 12 was really easy. It took maybe two to three hours of messing around, and it was done. As far as I can see it is
  10. Exactly: 1 Video of new Military KS-K ( Saiga 12S EXP-01-030 ) shotgun comes out. Some of Us say We Really, Really, Really Want one!!! and the dreaming begins. 2 Oleg tells Us he can get the parts. 3 We get exited. 4 He then tells us how much said parts will cost. 5 Many people are not so exited any more, but a few of Us are ready and able to spend some serious $$$$ 5 We pre-order. 7 Then We get the e-mail that starts this thread. 8 ?????
  11. I received an e-mail from Oleg this morning. He said that He will be looking into wither or not he will be able to send Option #1 & #2. Should have an answer next week. Personally, I can't understand why he wouldn't just sell us the parts sans barrel. Would it really be that hard to plug the existing holes and drill new ones in the proper place, or is there a difference in barrel diameter? I was really looking forward to doing this conversion, and now am more than a bit bummed. If all else fails, there was some guy on here ( can't remember his name..) who does really, real
  12. Mannlicher m1888/90 8X50R mm straight pull. Great Gran dad smuggled it back on a hospital ship way back in the War to end all Wars. Not sure what it is worth, but it's old and it's mine
  13. On a U.S Navy Aircraft carrier a "black shoe" is part of the ships complement. Unlike the "Airedales" who are part of the Air wing. A "Snipe" is U.S Navy slang for a Member of the Engineering Dept. Although I am not on a carrier; I am on a navy ship working in the Engineering Dept., and we have people aboard who are Not part of the ships complement.
