  1. Switched out rings, now I'm shooting 5 shot groups at 100yds all in the same hole. Really amazed at how accurate this rifle is. My elevation knob is still turned a higher than it should be, but as long as I'm on target I guess theres no prob. I'm shooting federal 150 gr.power shok ammo, compared to the Norinco 147gr. the recoil is huge. Really have to be carefull not to get a black eye from the scope
  2. 3' as in 3 feet.. I would need to shim the rear of the scope to make it shoot higher wouldn't I??
  3. I just got a BP-02 low mount from Tantal, great mount. I put a Winchester 3-9x40 scope on it, first shot I was about 3' low, I raised my scope dial as far up as it would go, I'm still about 5" low. I'm getting good groups though. Whats my problem here, do I have a lemon of a rifle or what can I do to raise it? I was using Leupold split rings. I went out and bought some higher see-thru rings just now. haven't got to try them yet to see if they help. Everytime I've mounted a scope to anything I've never had to raise the dail as far as it would go. STumPed!
  4. Do any of ya'll use the kobra optic on your .308's? I was thinking of getting one and want to know if they will perform well on the .308. Seems like I read that they were designed for the 762x39. I would be using it for ranges from 50yds to 200yds. Whats the best place to purchase one of these sights? When I go to Freedomoptics.com I get an Error page.
  5. Does anyone know what distances the Pk-av's are good for??
  6. Would a Pk-av red dot scope be good on a saiga .308 or would I be better off with a POSP scope? Are the Pk-av's good out to a 100yds or so?? Would it work well on the .308?
  7. What would you guys reccomend me in a .308 win soft point ammunition for hunting Whitetail deer. Will the .308 win be just as accurate in the Saiga-308 as 762 Nato ammunition?
  8. I'm new to the saiga rifles. I recently purchased a saiga-308 and noticed about a 1/8" gap between the boltcarrier and the front of the reciever/trunnion. I've fired about 10rds through it and it functioned fine and seemed on target. Hopefully you experts can shed some light on this problem. Maybe I'm just spoiled by my bulgarian/hungarians, but it seems like the bolt carrier should close completely. It does this with and without a cartridge loaded.
