  1. Excellent communication and fast payment. Great guy to deal with!
  2. Folks I've got a bullet guide for .223 Saiga with round trunnion. Includes drill bit, tap for threading and allen wrench for retaining bolt. $20.00 shipped. I'll accept USPS money order or discrete PayPal with fees. Thanks for looking. SPF to Wagnikov My apologies for posting in the wrong forum folks!
  3. Couldn't agree more! I recently placed an order and in my haste I put in an incorrect zip code and the website kicked it back twice before I double checked and saw the incorrect zip code. I didn't think anything of it until I looked at my credit card statement and saw two too many charges. I e-mailed Brian and he assured me that the two extra charges would drop out in 3-4 days max. The charges actually dropped off much faster and I received my order right after the charges dropped off! The super-quick shipping got me back on track with a Saiga conversion that I was right in the middle of!
  4. Thanks Gyrene! Just ordered four of your fine products!
  5. I'm far from an expert but AFAIK just about any AK FSB will work. I think there might be minor differences as far as Yugo FSBs, not sure. I'm getting ready to convert a 7.62x39 and a long-barrel .223 using Polish AKM FSBs. I'll let you know how it goes.
  6. Tried out a couple of Tula 30rd magazines. Other than that, nothing! Gotta get off my duff and actually test fire them!
  7. If? One way to find out is to purchase or borrow a high capacity military surplus mag and find out for yourself on your rifle, dont take my word for it! You need a couple or more such mags to check because I have seen the occaisional odd mag not fit in the magwells on some rifles, while many other mags would fit fine. On a 7.62 Saiga there is 99.9% chance that you will have to dremel/file the mag catch or change it out, your option, in order to use military mags period. This is one fact reported on the "error net" that that rings true. You will quite likely need a bullet guide as well for
  8. Ooooh, neat! Thanks Pauly! I'll definitely keep those in mind, especially in black! Thanks!
  9. Folks, I've got a 20" barreled Saiga .223 and am considering a "sorta-Galil" conversion. I'm looking at leaving the stock Saiga front sight assembly in place, removing the rear sight leaf completely and replacing the stock top cover with a Galil cover and rear sight assembly or the Tech Sights brand unit. My question is - which unit will work better with the stock Saiga front sight? BTW, I'll also be replacing the fixed stock with an ACE skeleton folding unit, going to a modified Tapco Galil handguard, and threading the muzzle and using a birdcage type flash hider. A bullet guide and appr
  10. bohound, thank you for taking the time and effort to document Marion's transformation. You've given me a lot of ideas for my .223 Saiga and in particular you answered my question in regards to folding units and receiver blocks. I now know exactly what I need to complete my folder. Thanks again!
  11. So you've used the compact receiver block and in addition to looking better it's a more sturdy unit, right? I've got a Dremel and I'm not afraid to use it. Damn, that sounded like some cornball western movie line! LOL! Anyway, once I convert this Saiga it'll never see the original Saiga stock, but won't this affect mounting a standard fixed stock later on down the line? So, once I do this I'll be limited to Ace stocks, with or without the folder mechanism, right? Edit: Well gang, I just finished reading bohound's thread and she did exactly what I'm thinking about doing.
  12. Folks, I recently bought a 20" barreled .223 Saiga, the IZ-110, and am thinking about converting it to resemble a Galil. I would like to use the Ace 8 1/2" long skeleton stock and their folder unit. My question is in regards to the Ace stamped AK receiver blocks. One of them, the AKRBC or compact receiver block requires cutting the tang off the back of the rifle. The other one is the AKRBU or universal receiver block, and from what I can gather from Ace's literature, it doesn't require you to cut the tang off. Although I'm not completely dead set against it I'd prefer to not cut the tang
  13. Try here http://www.centerfiresystems.com/SAI-223.aspx Give them a call, they might have or be able to get a 20" for you.
  14. Damn! That's it, huh?! Might be time for me to shoot this rifle and then maybe do some minor gunsmithing. I had no idea it was this straight forward. Thank you ChileRelleno!
  15. Yeah, I know what ya mean! LOL! Unfortunately I'm on the road a lot and don't always have the time or access to ranges. The cant isn't immediately noticeable, and really isn't distracting until you notice that the front sight post has been drifted to the left almost all the way. I'm going to try and get to a range Sunday and see what kind of accuracy I get out of it. If I do try to straighten it, what tools do I need to gather?
  16. Folks, this might be slightly off topic. I've got a Romanian AK that I bought several years ago and have never fired. I recently discovered that the front sight is canted to the right. How big of a pain is it to straighten this out? Are there any AK builders in the SE, specifically Georgia, that could help? Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Received the gas tube and upper handguard combo today. Very pleased, fast shipping and good communication! Thanks! Rickey
  18. Great communication and fast shipping. Great guy to deal with! Thanks! Rickey
  19. Got mine today. Might be awhile before I install it but I'm impressed with the quality. Unless I totally screwup the install it should look and work great. Klassy does great work. Thanks bro! Rickey (2336)
  20. Great guy to deal with! Great price and quick shipping! Highly recommend!!! Thanks!
  21. Klassy, I'd like one of your handguard retainers. PM sent. Thanks!
  22. Last bump to the top. I'll be pulling this rifle off the market 28 Oct. I'll be moving back east to Georgia and won't have the time to mess with selling it. Besides, I'll probably change it over to a fixed stock and keep it. The folding stock is the only thing about this rifle that I don't like! Thanks for looking folks! Rickey
