  1. I am sure glad that he did not bother to show any interest in my money. Andrew
  2. 10 days later and apparently he has no interest in my money....no return emails. I am going to go blow some money at the Carolina Shooter supplies sale instead
  3. Not personally but he has been around on theakforum for years and has always had a great reputation as a fellow collector. He's a guy with connections all over the place and has been able to get some really great stuff that is almost unheard of. He already brought in 7 SV98 rifles and that took about a year also. Based on his history and online presence I felt no worries paying in full. I've talked to him on the phone a few times like everyone else and IMO he's a guy just like many of us...interested in getting some cool sh*t from Izhmash. Getting Izhmash to sell him a handful of SV98's is
  4. Have you done business with him before? We will see if he calls me back or emails me...it really has not been very long since I have called him. Still if there is no secured way to pay, I doubt that I will go for it.
  5. Paypal does not permit it's use for buying firearms. They will not insure that transaction at all, and in fact, they may just cancel your account for your trouble. Typical paypal So if he does not take CC (or seemingly any form of secure payment), he is banned as a vender from another forum, does not reliably answer the phone or emails. Past experiences with these characteristics in a vendor are not really confidence building. Is he a vendor on this forum? How many people here have sent him money? Andrew
  6. I am pretty sure that I will take the leap on this one. I sent them an email today to see if any were still available and what form of payment is needed. Is it safe to assume that a down payment would be protected with a credit card or paypal transaction? Andrew
