  1. Now for the real question... Will the new drum being marketed for the VEPR fit the magwell S12s.
  2. Iran bro. What was the last Iranian terrorist to attack us? I can think of Egyptians, Saudis, Yemenis, and even Americans... But no Iranians. Seriously... If you guys were talking about attacking Saudi Arabia I would understand it more than attacking Iran. Bin Ladin, most of the 9-11 crew, many we have had shooting at us in Iraq... all Saudis and Egyptians. So why didn't we invade them? No sanctions? No drone strikes on the leadership? As for the boon of us paying the bills for US arms manufacturers to work on Israeli projects... Please explain how mortgaging our kids borrowing
  3. But wouldn't that make the owner a "manufacturer" unless the insert was registered as a pistol?
  4. Very true. Carrier operations have a very steep learning curve. They are going to lose a LOT of equipment and trained pilots before they get the hang of it.
  5. Taiwan is far from an easy target... They survived when we sold them out at the end of WWII... they will survive the Chi-com's half assed navy
  6. Motorcycles and even scooters can be more utilitarian than you might think. The Vespa you REALLY don't want to screw with in traffic. Vespa 150 TAP You won't haul anything, your only protection would be mobility, and numbers... But I can see these types of weapons having a home in certain areas... as well as just being cool as all hell.
  7. Dont forget many fuel pumps were manual up until the late 80s (driven by a belt system) I have never seen a belt powered fuel pump. Mechanical fuel pumps are almost exclusively driven off a cam lobe, or in the case of some mechanical injection systems, off a timing gear. What vehicle are you referring to?
  8. My instructor trained us with kobatons, and markers... If you think ANY kind of knife fighting or "sparring" with work with real steel as anything but a form or Russian roulette, try the markers first. Time it for 30 seconds... after all, even if the first strike was to the heart with a blade, there's 30 seconds of tape in the machine. (More actually...) After the time is up, look at where you and your opponent are marked and think about the damage done. Would either have survived? Even some disarm techniques... not unless you are disarming a child who won't fight back or a mannequin.
  9. You think a uniform changes stupidity? http://youtu.be/gxegEMWmNOA There is absolutely NO... NONE... NADA.... ZERO>> ZIP>>> ZILCH.... that would EVER justify the use of live ammo in these situations. It's the same reason you would never use real blades in knife combat training. You don't learn much dead... You actually WANT the student to fail and then improve. The first failure or error is going to be a rough one with that twit.
  10. Weaponry has advanced far beyond these big machines... Fighters are a dead concept in any new major war. The next big strategic weapon will be kinetic... rod from god/hypersonic cruise... or particle/FEL. Let them waste their time.
  11. Another issue in the rusty north anyway, is the what is "Common/cheap" changes every 5 years. VW bug/bus parts used to be a good bet... but certainly not anymore. Cherokees are pretty good... f150's... caveliers... What can you work with? You could retrofit points and a carburetor to anything with a distributor fairly easily, and after a bit of effort. Electric fuel pumps can be bypassed even to the point of using a pressurized air tank to push the fuel to a carb. Nothing is that complex. Don't forget... if your fear is EMP... the nice metal body of a car will shield one he
  12. I would love to see this dipshit's class with 1 proficient krav maga student slipped in as this instructors sparring partner. That would be entertainment...
  13. Smithing equipment. It has more uses... doesn't require ammo or upgrades, fixes more than just guns, and if you want a .308 you want something other than a saiga. Go bolt first, battle rifle second in 308.
  14. Wow... china has now acquired a diesel carrier! They have reached 1030's Imperial Japanese technology... they have no experience actually using it... they didn't build it, and have no fix-wing aircraft to fly from it... But I'm impressed.
  15. Ask Mr Molotov and the Finns who AREN'T former Soviets if you need a 20mm cannon or a shaped charge to defeat a tank or APC. (It takes more than a bottle, but the method is sound) I'm more afraid of what happens when the powers that be begin to see the only real weapon is knowledge.
  16. It's still a good thread... just keep it going. Personally, I'm advocating as low a profile as possible. (Yes, I know my deuce doesn't fit that. But the CliTaurus does) And maximum capabilities. That might not matter to guys out in the west who don't have the population density we have. I'm curious what people in each part of the country think and why. Bugging in or out... it doesn't matter. What old car do you think you can keep going the longest? What "special" needs does your part of the world need? Nobody would look twice at an old Army truck on a farm around here... especially if
  17. If you have nothing to hide, you have no reason not to want a camera on you 24-7-365. You should welcome the police searching your car, home, or bank account. Strip searches can aid in finding tumors you may have missed. These are highly trained professionals who can be trusted to NEVER abuse these powers. No leader will ever come to power who could abuse these powers. What are you, some kind of criminal, or just a nutcase?
  18. I can tell you that in the drive from Kalamazoo to Novi that night I was stopped 3 times... Portage, Jackson, and just south of Novi Rd. It was a ghost town on the streets, and anyone out was getting all the attention they could ever want. I was driving a Probe... not exactly threatening... but I was still a target. Face it, if you are male, and look at all capable, you are going to attract at least some attention. If they are controlling weapons and confiscating stuff (officially or unofficially) Your tricked out bug out truck and lifetime supply of guns, ammo, and food will make a nice s
  19. Michigan. State certification is done here right through the Secretary of State office. I'm also an ASE certified parts tech, and the better wrenches still get ASE certified as well. Cable cutters are good for helos, but I would be concerned about snagging them on a truck. A cage like brush firetrucks have would do the same job... not cutting, but keeping you safe.I' don't know... food for thought.
  20. Thanks man. Update... the trial was just delayed... I might be in for another round.
  21. That beast was one of the reasons I bought my truck. So many influencing factors... My deuce doesn't float, but she'll pull a lot of things that do. Maybe someday I'll build something like that.. or this... Spring can't get here soon enough. My baby comes home Feb 4th... and I have until May to get her painted and tuned for the rally... when I'm not working or doing school work, that is.
  22. Damnation Alley!!!!!!! It still exists and it was a REAL truck. It really was amphibious... and it really was built with the parts as described in the movie. The "LandMaster"... Thank you for posting this!
