Any one used this before?
Frank Rizzo replied to Alexc.s.'s topic in Conversions and Modifications for the Saiga firearms
AK's look stupido without an upper handguard. Plus, what the hell is the point of that thing anyway? -
In Ohio we get a LICENSE to carry, but people still call them permits all the time.... I walked around a show recently with a double barrel SBS and had at least half a dozen people tell me it was illegal. I just told them thanks and kept walking.

I'll go further and say that there is no such thing as a Class 3 weapon. There are Class 3 dealers and Title ii firearms.

Bulgarian ak-74 kit for conversion parts?
Frank Rizzo replied to Bossman's topic in Saiga Rifle Conversions
Build the Saiga with the Bulgy parts, it's almost a no brainer. Let someone else enjoy the scraps lol. Here she is with the Russian Red wood: ( The Romy, not the Saiga ) They sold out long ago. I think they only had enough for like 2 days. -
I can ream it to the right size for the cost of postage if all else fails.

Bulgarian ak-74 kit for conversion parts?
Frank Rizzo replied to Bossman's topic in Saiga Rifle Conversions
Bossman, that wood looks familiar! I'm certain that I have a set of your wood on one of my Romys Hey if you look down a few threads I have a "conversion in process" thread where I used an AK74 kit to restore my Saiga x39 rifle. It worked out really well, and I think I eneded up being 30 bucks into the kit after selling off all the unused parts. Definitely cheaper than buying them piece by piece. If I can help feel free to hit me up. -
stock conversion question
Frank Rizzo replied to Batesville1's topic in Conversions and Modifications for the Saiga firearms
It's called a trunnion. It gets riveted into the back of the receiver. You would need to remove the existing trunnion, rivet in the new one, and then cut the holes into the receiver to allow the underfolder to mount. Surprisingly easy if you get a dremel with a diamond bit. -
Aint that the truth.

So... the Saiga does not accept: An AK magazine An AK threaded muzzle brake An AK pistol grip An AK bolt An AK bolt carrier An AK FCG So what the hell do they consider to be "most" parts. Actually, yes, they do accept those parts, some via conversion, some are drop-in. Actually, no, not one of those parts are "drop in". But thanks for playing!

Thats the same kit I started out with, used it for a few months, learned the ropes, then moved to a progressive press. I can only echo what the others have stated. Find a good reloading book, start looking at what you want to reload, and try to find powders and primers that will work across the board. Buy your powder in 8 pound jugs if you can, it's cheaper that way, and you'll go through it quicker than you may think. Dont automatically start loading max charges. Thats one of the most important things I learned early on.

Can I suggest starting there?

Sounds like he was pissed because you bought it online instead of through him.
