Used Izhmash scope mount. All screws included, but I am not sure they are all correct. A few handling marks, but fully functional. Cross posted, so time stamps rule. $56 shipped by USPS. Payment by paypal with no fees for me.

Spetsnatz ninja? Is that you?

I had a Romanian SAR 1 that looked just like this. As Mullet Man suggested, the tang was straight but the stock was drilled off center. I drilled out the holes and plugged them with a piece of dowel and redrilled them. It ended up straight as an arrow. My stock was wood.

You don't need to remove the FSB. Cut the shroud off flush with the FSB and modify for the detent with the FSB on the rifle. This is what I did. Read all the way down. You will need the tat and die to thread the barrel as well as the detent (unless you make your own) and spring. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/77913-added-a-muzzel-brake-detent-and-spring-to-my-stock-fsb/

Yes, factory mags can be modified to work with a bullet guide. However, they will then not work properly in a rifle without a bullet guide. You modify by removing the factory mags built in buller guide.

Painted my Saiga with Alumahyde 2 Semi Gloss Black, think I might have

Glad it worked out better for you this time. I think you are just out of luck on the serial number, though. Here's mine in Alumahyde ll matte black -
Determine which parts you need and shop around. I always reuse the factory trigger guard. All I buy is the G2 fcg for a Saiga, PG and PG nut and screw, and a buttstock.

Tapco G2 conversion, trigger is sticky on first pull
canoecanoe replied to txoutback's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
I have found that thr pg can interfere with the triger pull by extending just a little into the trigger area and catching on the trigger hook. You might check this out. -
Well, that didn't last long!

My link lists them for $34, not that $1 is a big deal or anything.

You are going to need to strip it or at least sand it/ rough it up and refinish Wait unbtil it is cured before you do this. Try the matte black. That is always what I use on my Saigas. I always get some texture, which I like. Heat up your rifle ( hair dryer works for me) before spraying., I also heat up the can a litle with a room area heater. I then spray light coats until I get complete coverage. I use the hair dryer between coats to help it flash off between coats. Then one final coat a little heavier and again with the hairdryer. It takes Alumahyde a long time to cure. I let mine hang -
I used this: http://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/AK-MAG-CATCH-SET-NEW-POLISH-36p1685.htm A little tricky, but doable without special tools. Here is one vid. There are others.

It looks pretty good.
