Yeah I was using a .223 during fur season but now it's back to the Rem 700 in 7mm. Those 162gr AMAXs really put a hurt on them at long range! I've got a video of one I nailed at 500yds in the head (total luck, I was aiming at his vitals!) Do you still coyote hunt? Where do you live? Shane -
So I'm trying to help a friend clean his pistol, and I can't figure out how to get the slide apart. I think it's the pin that runs vertical near the extractor, but it's kinda tough to push and I'm not sure if there's a step before that. Caveats: I already told him to buy a Glock I'm going to detail strip it. Don't care how many guns you've owned and never done it, I do it. Thanks Shane

There was in the fall, but I think we've killed all the dumb ones. I'm currently expanding my hunting grounds toward Benge. Everytime I get on a stand and call up there, I get a pair screamin' in. Yeah Kahlotus is nearby, surprised you've heard of that! -

I'm the the SE, small town called Hooper. I love that canyon, I've been hunting coyotes in it for the last 5 months. Whole lot of death being dealt there. -

It dawned on me an hour ago that a rebar frame would probably take a hit better, and wouldn't hit my wallet so hard. -

Thanks. So I've done the math, and figured I need a 12x36" plate and found this: Steel sheet Really surprised how cheap it is, must mean it's not good enough! LOL Now I'm looking for 2x2x3/16" angle iron (I need 63 ft jesus!) This joint Angle Iron has pretty good prices it seems, but I can only find two kinds of angle iron, stainless, annealed ($55 for 6ft) or this A36 stuff. The reality of it is these frames are going to get hit, not as often as the targets, but often enough. Think they will work? That's a pretty damn good idea, and I live by a train junction, it's on! -

M'kay, so I've decided to turn the canyon I always hunt into a long shooting range, with steel plates. Ranges will be from 350 - 1000yds. Here's the dilemma - I'm not going to drop $160 for a set of four "approved" A500 steel targets that are already cut out. I'm probably going to go with the cheapest 1/2" steel I can get, and cut them out myself. I'm not going to use AP ammo, and the biggest thing they'll ever see is likely a 300 RUM. The minimum range is 350 so I'm really not worried about the hardness of the steel causing an unsafe condition. Any steel freaks know what kind or ho -

Man I think I may have to go for the one-piece. I just think it looks cool, and after I get I will be happier. Shane -
I know they are pricey, but you CANNOT beat an EOTech for the Money! I dont think there is another company out there that offers a product that has a 1000-1200 hour Battery life for continuous use AND an Auto Shutoff feature incase you forget! Red Dots comsume WAY too much Battery Juice IMO...go with a Holographic site and you will have it for the rest of your life! I think Aimpoints are rated at 80,000 hrs. I believe it, I've had mine for 5 years and left it on overnight, over a week, etc. There's also a spare battery in there. Never did care for the Eotech, just don't like the

Going for C&R FFL License
shaneman153a replied to paprotective's topic in Second Amendment, 922r & the law
Yeah I have one. Though I moved and applied for an amended one (address change) and it never came back. Assholes. I couldn't get them to kick down any discounts, but you can write them all letters and they'll send you catalogs for life. The big discount is not having to pay $10-$20 for the transfer. Shane -

Hey banshee, I've got a question as I noticed you have a two-piece base. I want to get a 20 MOA base and I like the looks of a 1 piece, but I'm worried it will be a bitch to load the mag (Until i get a DBM), your thoughts? Why did you go with the 2 piece? -
Traded off my AR for a NIB Remington 5R Milspec. Review and Pics Pics and range report whenever I get it. Can't get some good glass until I sell another gun so it's getting the Cabela's scope for now (blasphemy!) It may be a while, I don't load for .308 so I have to buy brass, dies, bullets and powder. And the wife is still pissed that I blew $300 on gun-related shit this month. Shane
