Yeah I did this on my AKS-74 build and it made for some very tight tolerances. Hasn't effected function, but if you ride the bolt it will stick.

In Russia, ballistic coefficient measures you! J/K I think the best way to figure it out would be to find a bullet that is similar in weight and construction and guess off that. For instance a hornady 123gr flat based SP is .252 for example. (Aren't x39's .310?) I also always hear guys talking about field testing BCs but I have no idea how this is done. Most bullet manufacturers have their BCs listed on their site. Some inflate, some don't. Are you precision shooting with an AK? Shane

Well that's pretty much it. It looks really good, has a very interesting storyline, and is apparently very political and anti-american. Supposedly, there are parts of the movie where you're expected to cheer when the Americans get shot. I really don't like to give money in any way to movies like this. I won't go see them, buy them, rent them, etc. But I really want to see this one. I'm going to have to get into pirating DVDs. What have you heard? I can't wait to pick up BC2. I was a HUGE fan of BF2 and I liked 2142 as well (except for the body armor that would allow 15+ hits with an assault rifle). I hope that EA doesn't completely ignore this game after release like they did with BF2. I also hope it's a while until all the sniper and tank fags get good at it and ruin all the servers.

Bah. I loaded 5 more yesterday to see if it would do it again and no dice. So I loaded up 15 today to test some loads, and on my last round I noticed that 8 of them were like this. I forgot to check them before resizing to see if they were like this prior to going through a die. I backed the sizer out a 1/4 turn and we'll see what happens. thanks Indy

But I figured I'd give my home forum a shot, since I've never even been in this sub-forum! So here's the scenario: I have a remington 700 in 7mm Rem Mag and I just got some new bullets (BC .625 ) and a freebore gauge to play with today. I loaded up eh, 14 rounds seated .010 off the lands, and on my last 2 rounds, I couldn't close the bolt. So I posted the question on arfcom, where a guy suggested that I dye the round and see where

@^ Because it looks cooler. Yeah I would use it for hunting big game out to 200-300yds, maybe more if I were handloading and could get accuracy better. I used it for hog hunting with the privi 150gr sp's in Texas, but never connected. I shot a coyote with it a while ago with some Bulgy 147 FMJ, he didn't run too far. Go for it. Shane
