  1. I have had a couple failures from the plastic ships making their way into the gas system. with the gas setting on #2, there are no problems, but with the gas on #1, a little plastic chip can sometimes get lodged in the part of the gas plug that has the small notch. After that, it is it racking the bolt each shot untill you switch to gas setting #2 or clean out the gas plug.
  2. After I got my Saiga converted to a 12"SBS I've used it in two 3-matchs. I will be using it in more matchs as the weather improves. I'm not a top competitor by any means, but I would say that I did as well or better than when I was using a Maveric 88 pump. The only trick to using the Saiga in competition is doing smooth reloads. Get some snap caps and practice your reloads.
  3. No extra paperwork for the 12ga adapter. any given NFA weapon will only have one tax stamp* and one set of transfer paperwork. At this point, I'm good for any caliber or barrel set up so long as it stick with the slide open barrel desighn of the M203, and I notify the ATF of any PERMANENT changes after they are made. * A machine gun with an integral silencer like the MP-5SD requires 2 tax stamps, but the machinegun and the silencer tube are considered seperate items since in theory the tube could be seperated from the firearm reciever.
  4. That is Tony's flash hider on the S-12. He did all the work on my S-12. As far as flares and fireworks, I have no idea. I plan on useing the 40mm w/ the M781 chalk rounds, 12ga addapter, and if I can ever find on, a Shivak 922. I live RIGHT ON the Cheasapeake Bay, so if I launch a flare, the Coast Guard WILL become involved, and I would have alot of explaining to do. If you want info on 37mm launchers, I suggest the discusion board run by Grog. They should be able to help you with all the technical and legal isues: http://www.freewebs.com/grog/index.htm just be sure that you
  5. The furniture is actually synthetic/plastic, and is only wood grain colored. Came with the Saiga like that. I'm pretty sure that the original barrel length was 22" before the SBS treatment. As far as range reports, that will have to wait for anouther week&1/2 untill I get a chance to get to the range. I checked my records, I sent my payment to LMO back at the end of June. After the dealer to dealer form 3, my CLEO sighn off, and then my form 4 transfer, I FINALLY have my new toy, but I still have to wait to shoot it. To bring it back to Saiga related talk, I do have one o
  6. A new toy came home from the dealer today. I think the Halo quad rail will be required to really mount the LMT, but I still think it makes a good picture.
  7. that's a messy little situation. Tony, have you been able to contact the distributors that you got the weapons from to see what they have to say? Will everything be legal and above board once you cut them down and file a form 2? or would they still be in limbo after that? Have you called your lawyer yet?
  8. damn it, now I have to go buy anouther Saiga for the SBS treatment.
  9. how difficult is it to install the quadrail?

    mag couplers?

what brand of magazine couplers have people used for Saiga-12's? The Nation's Gunshow is this weekend, and I'm thinking of getting a coupler.
  11. all you need now is a flash enhancer for that thing, and it will be perfect. have you figured out a price for the krink conversion? I've got a few things on my list ahead of a .308 krink, but it definetly being added to my long list of planned NFA weapons.
  12. is the Cobra a true holgraphic sight, or is it a single glass red dot?
  13. Positive feedback for Wolverine. Very quick delivery of the cheekrest. Thanks
  14. Is that target practice or a shotgun match?
