  4. Everything ive read on swapping betweeen buck and shot says, that buck and slugs can be substituted with loads forr birdshot. But not vice versa. Basicly you get less pressure with buck or slugs of equal weight than bird because of the push back effect. Essentially birdshot almost acts as a fluid and pushes back more against the wad as it moves down the barrel, thus increasing pressure.
  5. If only their was a way of being able to buy parts online for both of them and finding a way to make it capable with S12 mags or Vepr12 mags Their is. 1 buy a vepr magwell. (Thats what i did) Or for s12 mags. You need to install a adapter plate where the magwell would attach. Evlblkweapons did it for his vepr to saiga magg mod. Either or. If you go s12 no LRBHO
  6. thanks indie. i came up with a decent load using their published 7/8 oz load data. its 9 #1 buck pellets which comes in weighing 364 grains a bit under 7/8th oz heres a chart http://www.ballisticproducts.com/BPs-Ounce-to-Grain-Conversion-Chart/productinfo/OZCHART/. 7/8 WAA-12 Ched primer 18.5 grains 10,080 psi and 1325 fps. pretty sweet load. tried out a bunch on saturday. recoil was mild, tore up a bunch 2x8s. i may have to find a different powder for slugs. the load worked but i got a rather large fire ball out of them using published data with a slug substitute.
  7. originally I had problems with the fury 2 not cycling any low brass shells at all! but after I did the same drill fix like you see on youtube it now runs perfectly ! i was also able to add a standard Saiga 12 stock by shapping it to match the other stock. The gas plug is the same as the saiga 12 as is the chokes and the threading. chokes are not the same the fury uses an internal choke (metric winchester i believe) where as the saiga uses an external choke thread (ie the threads are on the outside of the barrel)
  8. ill have to check. it looks like a standard s12 gas plug . but ive yet to try and swap them out. edit: i meant the plug looks the same. the blocks are a bit different.
  9. that would be nice. i swapped out the rear trunnion, with a stock ak one. but would be interested in mags and parts.
  10. unless you have 24 other "targets" coming your way..................................................
  11. back to original topic are the vepr drums even available yet? i see css has them listed but out of stock.
  12. he sais he "believes" as in might be. again it would be redundant, as the saigas with a factory magwell use the same mags as the vepr 12. see link http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-accessories/russian-8-round-12-gauge-shotgun-magazine2012-10-15-03-02-33-detail.html?Itemid=0 so i would assume they would either do rock and lock or one for their own magwell.
  13. yes but the drums we have now are 20 rounders. can you count to 20? good. the vepr drums hold 25. thats 5 more then the saiga drums. still with me? ok here's where it gets complicated. supposedly once they are done making a 25 round drum for the vepr, they are going to make a 25 (yes 25 not 20) round drum for the saiga 12. so instead of a 20 round drum, you would have a 25 round drum. did that clear it up for you? It should be clarified that currently there are no drums for the S-12 equipped with the magwell. SGM is saying soon that will change. Personally I couldn't give two shi

  15. well powder has been an absolute bitch to find locally. i happened across an 8lb keg of accurate nitro 100. it was pretty much the only powder i could find. ive pulled the reloading data for it from their website, and found a low recoil 6 pellet load someone had copied from their older data. just wondering if anyone has any experience with this powder. thanks.
  16. Yeah i had one smack me. They come out with authority! Have not had that issue again.
  17. Lol it is what it is. A compact bull pup 12 gauge. Bullpups in general are not known for stellar ergos. When shooting normal shells its not an issue. But 3" mags. Yes you will feel it. All in all its a small gripe. The gun runs great. The sight works and holds zero even under heavy recoil. And it runs the mini shells i made. All in all i am very pleased.
  18. Its the way the grip is located. You do use it to pull it tight into your shoulder. But the recoil still very much felt in your hand. Im not the first to notice this. Seems to be the design. Hard to explain unless youve tried it. I think its mostly do With the angle the gun is held to avoid shells hitting your arm.
  19. Gonna do a full review at some point. Gun was brand new never cleaned or oiled. When i first started had a few fte's. After some break in and some rem oil she ran like a champ. I did break the cheap 6 dollar forergrip i got off ebay in the first 2 rounds lol. I also had one of the sightmark z series holographic sights on it, it came in yesterday. The sight was very impressive. Never losing zero. It eaven held up to the abuse of 3" magnum buck. Very impressed with this sight. A couple things i will need to address. This thing is light and kicks like a mule with magnum slug and buck rounds. N
