Hello all I have a vepr 12 that was shortened and a gko1 copy permanently attached. It ran heavy loads fine but birdshot was so so. sold it to a friend who I informed about this and he shot it for a while then thought he would just drill a huge hole to make it run. well the gun now shits all over your face when you shoot it and does not cycle, the only use now is an sbs project or a part out. I bought the gun back from him and will sell it for what I paid him for it $700 or trade for ammo and saigas or aks in 7.62 I will get some pics up soon or pm me and i can text some.

sometimes if you want things done right you should not do them yourself ! thats why i don't do plumbing . but joking aside I have messed up this same way, but i had enough barrel to cut down and re thread with good tools. let your bolt close and insert rod to measure barrel length you may have 1/2 inch to play with so you can cut and re thread without breaking any laws. good luck.
