  1. I got one of these off from the internet a while ago (a GR100). It looks and works fine. It cycles well with all of the ammo I've tried so far. I did only shoot a few hundred rounds through it before I couldn't wait any longer and did a conversion on it. The only real difference I've noticed is the markings and the price. the manufacture date was May 31st 2008. hope this helps.
  2. 1st off, a big THANK YOU! to everyone on the forums for all of the info and tips about these wonderful shotguns. I just finished this conversion (my 1st) and it wouldn't have been possible without all of you. +1 to all members who posted info and +1 to all of the vendors here as well for great products and awesome customer service. Here's the list of goodies; German Imported 22" 3 hole Saiga-12 Polished Hammer, disconnect, bolt and bolt carrier. TROMIX EXTENDED CHARGING HANDLE (partly polished) GUNFIXERS IMPROVED GAS PLUG PHOENIX FLAME DOOR B
  3. 1st conversion done ... for now :)

  4. Just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am with the stuff I ordered from C.S.S. The shipping was in record time, the order was correct and packaged well. (a nice change vs most internet orders) Everything was well described on the website and there was no hidden surprises. Over all, the best internet shopping to date! A+ Thx Mike
  5. Hi all, I figured I'd chime in here as I just used one of the new blocks from CSS tonight. It worked perfect, snug fit, and didn't need any extra grinding for fit, even with the Tromix DIY trigger guard (last screw). It all fit together like a glove. I tapped mine for 8x32 screws instead of the 10x32 (like other people have mentioned) mainly cause that's what CSS sold. I even noticed tonight that he's got a pre-tapped internal receiver block up for sale now too. And before anyone asks; No, I do not work for them, LOL. just a very happy customer. Mike
  6. Vampler, I can't tell ya anything from about the cut barrel and how it would act cycling the cheaper ammo. BUT I picked up one the the 22" German marked guns and it's a 3 hole version (I heard that all of the German marked ones were) and it shoots just fine out of the box. Out of a case I think I had 1 FTE, with cheap ammo. that's not bad in my book as a start. IMO, if the price is right, and you don't mind doing a bit of tuning (if needed) then I'd say go for it. That 180 bucks you'd save would go a long ways towards a new gasfixer plug and a polishing job to help it cycle the ammo
