If you swap out the trigger for say a g2 yes you have to modify the hammer to get it all to fit right.

Anyone got a line on them cant seem to find one in stock anywhere.

Its a gamble man allot of people started looking to the airsoft market especially when the .22 clones really got big. Anyway some have had success and well others have not. I think allot of the success factory is the luck of the draw and how you modify the parts to fit the orignal rifle. If you go that route good luck and let us know.

Good to know, I was going to order some tapco mags since every other mag option out there seems to be more than double the price of them. I run tapco's on my 7.62 and have never had any issues with them or had any malfunctions. I will do a few runs with it before I start the work and see if she needs the guide or not. Then I'll wait and watch the mag prices and see if they fall, its funny I used to always ssay I was going to get a 5.45 because of the cheap ammo but maybe I missed the boat a little. I mean ammo is still better than most others but I remember when 1080 cans were $95 now they

As stated above unless you reload the 5.45 is going to be near impossible to get subsonic loads for and not too mention I dont know what your balastics would be like running the 5.45 sub sonic where as the 7.62 isnt as finnicky with that or barrel lengths.

Thanks for the reply guess I'll go ahead and make my oreder up tonight for the basic stuff. I havent seen too many stock options out there it actually seems like the amount of options have decreased since my last conversion.

Well after the great time I had with converting my 7.62 I decided with these new platforms with half the work done this would be a fun easy project to get into the 5.45 game. A couple quick questions about the 340's since it seems to be conflicting at times. Do the receivers have the trigger holes cut? Do these require bullet guides? Thats about it seems like the informations scattered about goes back and forth on these things. Thanks

Handguards and Buttstocks will not directly bolt over. The saiga has no lower handguard retainer that you have on an AK. that being said you can buy the retainer for about $30-60 depending on the supplier. With the retainer you could use that handguard set up.

New Chaos AK47 rail that fits Saiga 7.62 X 39!!!
Frankyoz replied to cvhanh20's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
I would love this but no way to co-witness really bums me out. Would of bought one awhile ago literaly been on the fence about this now for 2 months, but leaning on the MI now due to the co-witness upper portion. Any chance you guys might look into something like this or make a change on an newer generation? -
I would go Saiga even though you have the lower already it will still cost you more money to set up the AR platform and as you know all black rifles drain money as it is after they are intial set up as well lol. Saiga is simple leave it as a sporter or convert it and still come in under the AR and have mag choices a plenty just my .02

what kind of accuracy do you get out of your long barrel Saiga x39?
Frankyoz replied to guncats's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
It is I beleive the same contour, however the PSL barrel is 4.5in longer than the 20in saiga. Also the barrel on the PSL which I have as well holds groups very well and only strings verticaly roughly 1.5-2 as the barrel warms at 100yrds, also I beleive the PSL was never designed to perform suppresive or sustained fire with high accuracy. -

Frankyoz replied to guncats's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
I get much better accuracy out of my 20in than my 16in and when I go out and shoot with others that have the 16in they all remark about the improved accuracy. I have not gone to the range and sat down and bench shot the two side by side to do a comparison. However its enough of a difference to be noticed not only by myself but by others as well. Hope that helps. -
Another vote for the red dot I have owned a few primary arms and plan on another one. Great product never had one fail break or malfunction on me yet.
