ironhead7544 replied to patriot's topic in Other Weapons - RIFLES (non-AK based)
At one time, a company was building M1 carbines in 45WM. I dont remember the name. I once made one up in 357 Auto Mag, so I guess it could be done in 45WM. -

I like the scout scope. Forward mounted so it cant hit you. Very fast. The red dots will also work but a good one is costly. The Russian scopes look good for the money but not sure on getting repairs. My choice would be a low powered one for the large field of view. Take a look at one before you buy. Presently I have a Primary Arms 1x4 scope and like it. -
Probably had super high prices. Went to a gun show Sunday and the only .223 Saiga there had an $899.00 price tag! A .308 was $1200.00! These were bone stock. Some shops here that still have them are selling them for around $550.00 but I havent looked in the last week or so.

I am in a bad situation right now and need to sell a couple of excess rifles and mags, etc. Dont know what to ask for this stuff. Been into the AK for some time. It is hard to judge prices right now. Dont want to sell but have to. Would much prefer to keep everything. Would it be best to put everything up for auction? Thanks for any help.

Liberal hypocracy

A CCW is used to carry emergency life saving equipment. I think any fireman could understand that. -
Remington Sluggers were very accurate in my S12. Wolf was close.

My S12 was very accurate with slugs. Just make sure it is properly zeroed. Mine was, right out of the box. For buckshot, The Federal FliteControl will print tight patterns. If you are hunting in a GA WMA, slugs only are allowed.

Australian firearm owners

If bolts and pumps are better than semi-autos, maybe they should be banned too. Makes sense, right? OH, and single shots too. You need to be really accurate with them. VERY dangerous. -
You will lose about 100 fps when cutting from 22 to 18 inches. No big deal.

The Beretta Tomcat in 32 ACP has a tip up barrel and the slide does not have to be pulled back to load. Might be an option. I like the 38 snub but it is hard to shoot especially for a new person. When I used one it was with 110 gr bullets for less recoil. The 3 inch barrel ones are easier to shoot. The 38 Special S&W Bodyguard with laser would be one I would look at for her. Also the Ruger LCR reportedly handles recoil well with its grip design.

Might be a mag for one of those experimental fletchette guns. Had a friend that worked in testing this rifle. Couldnt find any info in a search. I remember he said it had regular type mags and a 150 rd drum. Was a very straight cartridge with a plastic sabot holding the little arrow. Had a muzzle device that stripped the sabot away. That was the problem. Sometimes the fletchette would come out at 90 degrees to the bore. The project was scrapped.
