    S12 safety

I've got an s12, and the safety can go up a little bit too far when I put it to the safe position. For example if I try to move the charging handle to the rear, it may go underneath the safety lever, thus pushing it up further instead of just blocking it. How different are the s12 safeties from the regular rifle/AK safeties? Or perhaps any ideas how I can resolve this issue. Thanks
  3. What type of handguard is that on your rifle? Nice setup btw
  4. Will this work for a G17 also? I can't remember if the barrel lengths are the same.
  5. Are these promag? If so, have you used a promag in an SKS before?
  6. If I remember correctly the CZ 75 mags won't work in a Witness, but the ones for a Witness will work in a CZ 75. I'm talking 9mm here. Is that true?
  7. Does this have the same eye relief as other red dots? On Kalinka's site it says the eye relief is 120mm. Just wondering if it would work both on an ak side mount, or even over the gas tube, for example. Did you decide you didn't like it?
  8. I looked at the product on their website, I just got something just like it. Thanks though.

  10. Is this thing rated for heavy shock? ie an S12. I have a tapco full length grip.
  11. Well, I didn't buy it but my friend did. I am just not looking to get a .308....too expensive hobby. I'll stick to the other stuff I have. But he got it for $350. I was duly impressed.
  12. To the OP, I kinda have a similar problem as you, except my gun is not converted. The forearm that you use can make a difference on how it cycles. I have a tri-rail which I don't really like anyway and am going to try out a factory forearm. I had Remington and Federal Wal-Mart bulk shot that I was using during a clay shoot. It would cycle about 90% of the Federal ammo but wouldn't cycle the Remington at all. I decided that this needs to be broken in with slugs and buckshot first before determining there's a real problem. I also polished the bottom of the bolt carrier and the bolt and
  13. When I looked at it there didn't seem to be a whole lot of wear. I looked at the hammer, bolt, and rifling. Was a lil dirty, but really not too bad.
  14. Of all things, I was bicycle shopping today at pawn shops today and I found a Saiga 308. Of course, I had to check it out. I have an S-12 currently and don't plan on getting any more guns. However this 308 isn't a bad deal. But I do have questions. It is stock completely, unconverted without a lot of use. They want $400, which I don't think is too bad. Were there 'vodka specials' like in s-12s that I should avoid? It has wood furniture on it and doesn't have Russian American arms on the side of it or RAA, but rather EAA which I imagine is European American Arms. About how old would th
  15. I tried to preorder one of these on the website, but it gave me a system error after the first page. Is anyone else having this problem?
  16. I really enjoy clay shooting and have been thinking about getting a choke for a while, just haven't done it yet because it's too cold out. Until I saw this thread I thought there were just the poly choke type, and the factory Saiga one. This is pretty interesting that there's an adapter for winchokes. I didn't even know that you could shoot slugs through a choke, this is indeed enlightening for me.
