  1. A release date? I'd be satisfied just to see a photo at this point. How long has it been since Mike posted teasers about this thing?
  2. It's domestic terrorism. Don't let the color of their skin or their so-called religion blind you.
  3. Testing by the guy who's trying to sell them doesn't count. Don't be a dick.
  4. Pictures would be nice. Nobody's going to buy an untested gas plug based on words alone.
  5. If you have a C&R FFL license, any Mosin can be shipped straight to your home because YOU are the FFL. No 4473 required. If the rifle's receiver was made before 1899, it's an antique and you don't need a C&R license. Pre '99 guns also don't need to be logged, if you do happen to be an FFL, but it's still smart to bookkeep them with notes to the effect that they're pre '99. Chatellerault receivers are universally pre '99, but they don't have date stamps. Many people look at the date on the barrel and assume that's the date on the receiver too, but many Finn rifles were rebarr
  6. Foam pipe insulation or a pool noodle will work fine too. If you don't like the foam texture, wrap over it with 550 cord or hockey tape.
  7. Yep. "Christian Identity" is code for white supremacists. They have nothing to do with regular good people who happen to be Christian.
  8. Agreed w/ other comments above that S&W makes a much nicer revolver than Taurus. If you can't budget a S&W, consider Ruger too. Also, she may want to go with a medium frame instead of a small frame revolver. They're not THAT much harder to carry, and they're much more forgiving to shoot. A Ruger GP-100, or an older Security Six or Smith K-frame might be a good pick. If she wants to transition to a small frame wheelgun later on, she can always keep the medium frame around for practice, HD and carry in colder weather. Starting out on an airweight J-frame would be pretty terri
  9. Dang. It's a shame they can't get in spare parts. Guess if you repair enough f-ed up guns though, you tend to build a collection of spares anyway.
  10. What if, hypothetically, the bolt carrier legitimately breaks? What then? Since they're not available as spares does RAA have to cannibalize a new gun? Seems like a bunch of BS if you ask me.
  11. Yep, Wally World is hard to beat. You can usually get Winchester White Box or Blazer there for reasonable prices. Other than that, see if your local gun shop or distributor can hook you up with a bulk purchase. Let them know you're committed to buying a BUNCH, maybe go in with some friends and commit to a couple thousand rounds.
  12. If they're STEEL box magazines, I'm very interested. As for drums I'm super happy with my MD-20.
  13. Ironwood Designs furniture is excellent. It comes unfinished but staining and sealing it isn't that difficult. Besides, it leaves your options wide open as to what color and finish you can achieve. They've got every possible style of AK furniture in terms of sling swivels, forearm style, etc, plus lots of wood choices.
  14. Buy once, cry once. If you like Pelican cases, you'll probably like Storm cases even better.
  15. AOL? Wow, that's disconcerting. Don't get me wrong, I love my Surefire mags and they work great... but it's 2010 people. Who the hell uses an AOL email address and expects to be taken seriously?
  16. All I really want to impart to you is this: it's a felony. Only if he leaves the barrel in the receiver. Press it out, cut, blind pin the muzzle device, then reinstall it. No felony.
  17. Keep the Saiga, and save up for a regular direct-impingement AR. Don't fall prey to the "The only good AR, is a piston AR". I'm not knocking the Ruger, as I've never handled one. I'm just saying that if you buy/build a quality AR, it doesn't matter if it's piston or DI. It will run like butter and gobble up even the shittiest ammo. All of mine do. If money is an issue, start building little by little. Even just assembling the lower from stripped, and buying a complete upper will be cheaper than buying a complete AR and you'll end up with exactly what you want. But I would keep the S
  18. Drag bipods clamp to the receiver, engaging grooves on the flat sides. PSL receivers won't accept them without major mods, but it can be done. Alternatively, you can drill and tap the bottom of your receiver in front of the magwell, add a sling swivel stud, and use any "normal" bipod you like.
  19. Maybe CGW or RAA could import them! Run the numbers and see if it makes more sense to make your design vs. buying a bunch of parts from Izhmash. Either way I'm sure they would sell like hotcakes.
  20. Traditional bipods mount to the front of the receiver. Not sure how available those are, but if you want to be authentic, that's the way to go. As for shooting heavy ball, don't bother unless you change the gas system. Save your the heavy ball for your Mosins
  21. Reduced recoil and semiauto shotguns rarely get along well together.
  22. Looks like a pair of HFG's (horizontal forward grip). It's a new theory based product kinda like the Magpul AFG.
  23. ...and this is why BVamp's girlfriend never sends him out for milk and eggs anymore Seriously though, I like old produce for shotgun targets. Stick some heads of old brown wilted cabbage on a stake and blast them. If you have cardboard target backers with slug holes in them, you can stick brightly colored paintballs in those holes for fun reactive rifle targets.
  24. I would MUCH rather spend 5 minutes with a file getting the drum perfect, than spend an hour plus with JB Weld trying to build up material that should have been there in the first place.
  25. Well, Semper Fi and remember where your allegiance lies. What do you suppose the census bureau will ask you to do when people refuse the invasive questions? Seems like a pretty clear violation of the 4th and 5th Amendments. The census is not anything new fellas. Hell if I know what their policies are... I haven't started training or working yet, just applied. If somebody has an issue I suppose I'll just continue on my way. I'll let y'all know how it works out when I start. Good luck with it. Glad to have one of the good guys out there running the census, at least
