  1. I just spent some time reading the patent application, and looking at the diagrams. I see exactly why he waited to patent it. It is a perfect example of the KISS principal in action. It solves the problem with different shell lengths, and the transition of the follower up the tapered housing. Its brilliant. I can just see some copycat look at his design thinking duh, why didn't we think of that. Lets copy it and make lots of money. Mike deserves all of the credit and profit from sales.
  2. While we are waiting, and maybe to provide some production stimulation......How meny woul you buy and what size? I know I would like to have about four with a 12 round capacity each.
  3. Mike, Could you please give an update on the double stack. We understand that changes in the market caused you to have to suddenly change course. So where does that leave the double stack project? Just an approximate estimate would be nice. Thank you.
  4. Sounds like fun. I am interested. Fort Myers
  5. The TG rivets were presed (with a shop press) using a jig available from Cobra The parking was and pressing was done using tools and equipment owned by a friend of mine. Most of the chemicals are from Brownells. The process is really very simple. The degreaser is heated to a simmer while the parking solution is brought up to 180 degrees. The parts are soaked in degreaser for about 10-15 minuets, rinsed, placed in the parking solution for 5 minuets, rinsed again and dried. That's all it takes. The white trays are also from Brownells. He bought the very nice stainless tank with a lid for a v

  8. Today the Saiga had a nice hot bath in degreaser
  9. Believe it or not that was done with a mig. In order to get good penetration I had to lay down some thick ugly beads. That was followed by bench grinder, belt sanders, and various files. It didn't all go well as one of the holes in the reinforcement plate had to be ground out after I forgot to turn on the shielding gas and started to produce a very porus weld. And then there is the time I forgot to flip the switch on my helmet from grinding back to welding, so I was instantly blinded which resulted in a pile of crap that also had to be fixed. But overall I am very satisfied with the results.
