What I have noticed is my 7.62x39 rifle makes a larger hole in my paper targets then my 5.45x39 rifle.

I don't know about chevron markings gauged for a 5.45 round, i put this PSOP 6-42 scope on my 5.45x29 SGL31-74 and it has worked at 50yd and again at 100yd so as far as I know it's a good scope for my shooting. Took the new Russian PSOP 6-42 Scope to the range today, mounting it was simple and it fit tightly to the rifles rail. Scope was very easy to get a good target zero and the scope held it zero through many fired rounds, also it held tightly to the rail without needing to be tightened after being fired. Scope is bright and easy to get a good sight picture,quality of build is really top notch. As with my PSOP 4-24 I really enjoy using these fine Russian PSOP scopes.

I'd ordered mags from Oleg in England (Rusmil) and the package had been opened by US Customs (by the tape on the box) and allowed to continue on to the recipient. Well reading your post sure makes me feel so much better about the US Customs.

I have been told by my local FFL Dealer that some times US Customs grabs on to the out of Country Mag. and parts shipments. Not implying this has happened but stranger things have been known to happen when US Customs get involved.

Now that was a waste of time.

You're doing it again Z I all ready have a PSOP 4-24 my new scope is a PSOP 6-42.

I just stuck a UTG Rubber Butt recoil pad around $12US it gave the extra length I needed.

I ordered the new PSOP 6-42 on Friday and today Monday the mailman handed it to me. That was super fast service. Put the scope on my Arsnel SGL-31s Russian optic rail, used my laser bbl. sighting tool to get it ball parked in and now sometime this week it's off to the range to see how it works. Since I already have used the PSOP 4-24 and it's a super good scope, I don't expect any problems. Some have problems getting used to how the rail locking device works, but it's just takes getting used to working with it. It's really a no brainer ;-)

I had a small typo in calling it a PSOP-4-24 it's a POSP-6-42 but I am sure when you looked at the link you knew what it really was.

I have bought a PSOP-4-24 from them before with no problems, yesterday I ordered the PSOP-6-42 at 10am and I got e-mail showing it was mailed via USPS at 7pm. They keep many items in stock in Florida so they are quick in shipping. I also had sent them a e-mail with questions before I ordered and they quickly replied. Many others have bought from Kalanka with no problems, so I trust them.

The man who did the buying for us made a mistake, he should have asked if the charge was out of line before blasting away at CenterFire Systems. I have contacted them and all is again fine. :-)

This proves one does not need to buy a high dollar optic, to obtain good results with a quality rifle.

I have two of the UTG mounts the quick lever type and the older three Allen screw type, both are solid and stay on tightly. I have a AIMPOINT M4 and a EOTech. 553 I swap on my SGL-21. I like the UTG mounts and their fair prices.

I just like letting people know what I think about how some Web. site sellers go about getting a few extra bucks from credit card users. You do as you like I will do as I like. End of post.
