  1. Surefire! R&R sells 12 and 20 round versions. Doug
  2. Both left and right hand versions are available. The guy in our video with the yellow, white and black shirt is left handed and has the south paw version on his gun. Doug
  3. The release is manufactured long so that you can shorten it to the exact length you want. I cut quite a bit off mine. Robert has short fingers and likes his longer. I put a piece of tape on and checked it several times before I cut mine off with a Dremel (don't ya love em!) The little sanding drum cleans it up nice. Here is a picture looking straight down on the left side of my gun and you can see that the release is much farther forward. Doug
  4. You have to drill and tap 3 @ 5-40 holes to install. Works with modified Surefire Mags. Doug
  5. The US Patent Office approved the paperwork for the R&R Straight Insertion Magwell and it is now officially Patent Pending! Doug
  6. I told Robert he needs to make a magwell for the AK. Guess he is busy enough now. Doug
  7. This could be an option for you. This mount fits in the rear sight dovetail and sits very low over the gas tube. I use the Burris Fast Fire, but it will also fit the Doctor sight or with an adaptor you could use the JPoint or C-More STS sights. It is available on the R&R website. Doug
  8. I have a few parts for sale off of my personal gun. 1. Vltor Stock Adaptor - SOLD Lets you install most AR-15 Adjustable Butt Stocks on your Saiga, has 5 positions and a screw cap sealed compartment where the buffer and spring go on an AR. 2. R&R 1st gen. Magwell - $75 3. R&R Thumb Mag Release -$45 SOLD 4. R&R (JT Engineering) Sliding Safety - SOLD All parts will require some fitting. All parts, except Vltor Stock Adapter, will include instructions. All prices include shipping. Please PM me if interested. Doug
  9. While you have the trigger out its a good time to straigten out the over curved trigger. I hit mine with a torch and after it was red hot, straighted it in a vise. A few minutes with the dremel sanding drum, 200, 400 and 600 grit paper then a little polish on the dremel buffer wheel and ta da! Snappy straight trigger. Doug
  10. I agree. They are 2 different setups. I would probably use the JT one if I was not going to put on an R&R magwell and save the money. The R&R one costs more but is milled from a larger block of metal so that it matches up to the R&R magwell and makes the bottom of the receiver look more seamless. Your money, you pick the look you want. Doug
  11. If any of you are planning on being at the Shot Show, Jan 19-22, in Vegas we will have a booth there showing 6 R&R Saigas in different flavors as well as many of R&R's targets. Stop by booth #13876 and say hello. Doug
  12. You'll have to go to the hardware store and buy the double face tape. I got a roll of fiberglass reinforced for a few bucks and keep it in my range bag along with my colored duct tape in case I need some at a match. Doug
  13. The mid-comps reduce the amount of usable gas, so shortening the gas system is a must for reliablity. Somebody might want to tell that to this guy... http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=48559&pid=450526&st=0entry450526 You can use a mid barrel comp on an unshortened gas system, but you have to be real carefull how many holes get drilled in the barrel or there won't be enough gas to cycle the bolt. By moving the gas ports back closer to the breach you can get more aggressive with the compensator porting. I'll send that guy a PM with Robert's contact info so t
  14. Recoil is reduced substantially, but we have not measured how much. It depends alot on the ammunition. With any compensator higher velocity ammo with the same weight shot will give better recoil reduction. Standard Wally World bulk packs work fine, but I found some 7/8 trap loads from B&P that come out at 1365 FPS and they shoot incredibly soft. The dot hardly moves as you shoot. You can see from the video that the slugs didn't seem to recoil much either. I was using Federal TruBall Reduced Recoil shells and the S&B Special Slug 28. I also tried some B&P slugs for the first t
  15. Robert made some Kydex clips that you can attach to your mags. Several of us use them. You can put them on so the mag hangs with the rounds up or down or at an angle, how every you like. I have one on my 20 round mag and I hang it on the back of my belt if I want to start with a 12 and change to the 20 later in the stage. They are $7 each and attach with some strong double face tape. I put some colored duct tape on mine for addtional security and it also helps me locate my mags if there are several Saiga shooters on the squad. Doug
  16. That looks like Federal bulk pack ammo. With a little work your S-12 will cycle that just fine. Here's video of someone who's never even seen an S-12 before I let him shoot my bullpup 12. He was a little timid at first...lol. Watch how far those same shells are ejecting.... Oh and here's me and my favorite shottie. OOH I like the bull pup. Wood furniture is classic too. Nice vids. Doug
  17. I am actually looking for one of these, and would love to know if some one has found one. I take my S12 camping and hiking, so i would like to try another sling type. Is just not comfortable to have another strap over your shoulder when you are hiking with a large pack. I would like something i can just hang from myself and use the S12 without having to take it off. Take a look at this and see if it is what you want. You can attach a QD sling swivel in sockets on either side of the stock adapter. Or use a sling adapter plate. Doug http://www.randrtarge
  18. You can get a one piece stock adapter from R&R Targets. The threads are the same for Mil-spec and Commercial tubes, only the tube diameter is different. The R&R adapter puts the buffer tube in line with the bore so that you get less muzzle rise and on both sides of the adapter there is a socket to attach a quick disconnect sling swivel. The adapter goes for $59 in black and lets you attach any AR stock. Doug http://randrtargets.com does that adapter act as a reciever block, or does it bolt up to one? thanks I just put one on my own gun this week. You'll hav
  19. Finally got the Business Member thing handled. Hope you all enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it. We plan on doing some more in the future. Doug

  21. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, "There you go again Alex". How bout we cut the BS. Here are some facts: The R&R star is a one of a kind design, with long armed plates that release near the center of rotation. This gives it a faster spin when shot and makes it easier to carry when setting it up unlike a Texas Star where the plates are attached at the end of the arm. http://www.randrtargets.com/target_five_point_suprise.htm (R&R Five Point Suprise) Robert's straight insertion magwell is unlike any other on the market. Alex says they have a prototype that few have s

  23. The funny thing is that flg8r is some guy from Florida that happened to see the video and post it here. As for the Troll thing, I've seen you in person and you're no prize. You might want to tone it down a notch and lay off the personal stuff. Doug thin skin much? Probably not the best forum for that... Ouch, now I'm going to have to endure a rash of lotion comments from my shooting buds. I already got a call from one asking if I need some Ivory soap. Told him no thanks, it drys my skin. Here is a shot of me from Ironman 2008, looking only slightly Trollish. I'll be
