  1. Most folks on here are going to get 'refugees' moving in within a couple hundred miles, if not right next door: assuming Obozo gets his way. Reference map attached to this article: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-09-13/10000-syrians-are-headed-following-180-us-refugee-processing-centers Anyone not currently running a 'truck gun' or 'trunk gun' might be advised to start. I know I'm upping my on-board ammo (from 160 rounds 7N6 to 340). If I need to go to Colorado Springs or points North, I'll take along even more... Maybe I ought to dab the tips in pork lard?
  2. Gotta confess, that's the first time I've heard the full version. All I can say is 'Hot Damn!!!' Ever wish some guitarists would just shut up & play once in a while? That is one hell of an instrumental. I like it! Five Stars ***** Mike
  3. Got out out the range today to test 10.5" AR pistol build. Seems to work OK for the most part. More on that in a bit. New toy & 'old reliable". Tactical Machining gen2 80% lower, Anderson upper & BCG, AR/Stoner 10.5" 1:7 melonite coated barrel, AR Gold trigger, PSA combo UPK/LPK, Matrix Arms Victor hand guard, I forget buffer assy, Eotech & Ruger polymer BUIS, DPMS A2 flash hider. Testing at 100 yards in gusty conditions. (probably 15-25 mph, with a twisty arroyo on one side & ridge on the other, it's not uncommon to have direct headwind at target, full-value c
  4. Tacticalmachining.com They've got a good selection of custom engraved 'raw' 80% lowers. Also 100% lowers, uppers, jigs & miscellaneous parts.
  5. If I were only going to keep one, it'd probably be the S-12. Most fun to shoot & can use it to bag anything from dove to bear.
  6. Looks like .041" safety wire... weird what you find when you do an image search sometimes. Did a search for '.041" safety wire, sculpture' and found this about 2 pages down: Didn't even know these existed. https://www.forgottenweapons.com/schwarzlose-1898-pistol-video/
  7. Never really cared too much for Slim Whitman until I saw this flick. AACK.
  8. Well, for now the varmint upper project has morphed into a SPR build: White Oak Armament 18" fluted 1-8 barrel with rifle-length gas system on WOA side-charger upper. Longest time spent on assembly was fitting gas block: seems barrel boss was maybe 1 RCH oversize. 1/2 hour with 600-grit wrapped rod chucked in my Dewalt yielded a firm fit without needing to hammer it on. Troy 15" Alpha, YHM BUIS, Burris Fastfire 3 on MI 0100 mount, Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44 in ADM Recon mount all seem to go together well. State-of-the-art high-desert test facility(not):
  9. Construction project? Thin slice of a Dyson sphere? I'm not too worried about it. Slight cause for concern is messages targeted towards 'close by' star systems: http://gizmodo.com/390304/earth-set-to-receive-alien-reply-invasion-in-2015 Invaders from Altair? Maybe. I don't think I'll lose much sleep over it. What gets me is this childish, naive idea some folks have that 'Any civilization technically advanced enough for interstellar travel must be equally advanced morally'. Really? I'd call it foolish to anthropomorphize the moral values of a culture that is almost certai
  10. Hmmm... The vast majority of these mass shootings take place at 'gun-free zones' (CPZs, criminal protection zones). Let's make MORE gun-free zones, that'll fix the problem... https://youtu.be/NxEOiqtV_MA?t=5m19s
  11. YHM folding BUIS are supposed to be GTG. The QDS style is pretty low-profile folded, If you think about mounting a scope in the future. The 9680 series not so much.
