  1. I will not be communicating from 10-26-2019 to 10-28-2019. I will start catching up on comms 10-29-2019. Thank you for understanding.
  2. They can't seem to hire a decent designer. That looks much better than their last AK folder and at least the comb will be inline with the bore. I'd sooner get a Magpul Zhukov though. A little more money, but better looking and likely far higher quality. They have QD swivel socket and they collapse. They look nice on Saiga-12s too...
  3. Not yet, but I'm sure it might be nice for sound sensitive people with a Salvo 12. It might take some of the scare out of it for new shooters too.
  4. Anyone ever get one of these to run minimum dram loads?
  5. I'm not sure if it will ever happen, but I have been wanting to move somewhere that I can shoot on site. This would have to happen in an area where ground water isn't an issue and in Open Rural zoning, which would generally be on the Northwest area in this county. I would dig a pond as deep as I could legally get away with and off of that pond I would dig at least one lane or a loop above the clay layer or at least above where I might expect maximum water level to be during the wet season. Dirt from the pond and lane or loop would be used to hide the lanes (blend from existing grade to top of
  6. Well, it does say 'any topic is welcome here'
  7. Sorry, I goofed. $400 to true and blueprint would be 4x insanity, lol.
  8. At 15 yards away you may not be getting enough shot on the target. As gunfun said try some chokes, different loads, or combinations of both. You might even try some Federal loads with the Flight Control hull, but up close it may be like firing a slug. I haven't had the opportunity to do much experimenting with them, but they are impressive.
  9. Go here... GA Precision ETA: Edited for sanity. It is $100 to true and blueprint when they are installing and barrel at the same time. Barrel install is $290. Sorry. One can't even buy the tooling required to do this work for $400, so if I needed it done it wouldn't get done at my shop Out it would go... It is about $400 to true and blueprint an action and install a barrel (labor, no parts). These guys definitely know what they are doing. They do fluting and I would guess they do profiling, etc. but you will have to ask them.
  10. It looks like the carrier skipped right over the locking cam on the bolt. Are the bolts really wobbly in these? I'm glad I wasn't there. The shooter is SO lucky none of that got the eyes, face, or unit (or did it?). That scarring on the arm looks like it may be worth a few bucks too. I'd like to see the manual and find out whether or not it states any ammunition limitations. 1.25 oz at 1700 fps is pretty hot. I'm not an expert on DE, but would hazard a guess that it is max dram. I was over firing 3" loads a long time ago. Too expensive and too punishing. If what I need to do requires 3" I'll j
  11. From my limited experience with the two... The KS-12 is beautifully made and is superior to the Russian guns in regards to build quality. Metallurgy? Rounds will tell. I want one of my own (I want to AOW a Comrade), but really need to offload some stuff first. I am finally starting that 6.5" build on a KS-12 for a customer. The Chinese guns (Lynx and Spets) look pretty good in regards to build quality and they have some well thought out deviations from the original design in a couple of spots. The trigger guard and safety are a little odd looking, but those are the only glaring disl
  12. They need to bring that stupidity to Yulee, FL. It would get squashed quickly. Citizens and Police would be on them like a sledgehammer.
  13. Wood can get expensive. You might check Ironwood Designs.
  14. People come to me from time to time wanting a custom bolt gun built. I always refer them the GA Precision. I've never heard anything but people being impressed with their builds.
  15. DPH used to make one for the Saiga 12, but it has been out of production for a really long time. You might grab a Mossberg heat shield and retrofit it. They are about $50 and you would at least have enough to do another retrofit later if the need arises.
  16. In the words of a very famous man "You gotta know when to walk away and know when to run". Very well done. I know you have to be glad you fled. It progressively gotten worse to the point of it looking like everyone a position of power is mentally deficient. I often wonder if they are simply trying to run off anyone who is of sound mind and has critical thinking ability, so they will have an even stronger hold on the power they use as a weapon against personal freedom and liberty. It is indeed a very very sad situation to see the place that symbolized freedom and prosperity in the eyes of many
  17. I feel for you brother. I have nothing of that nature keeping me here should I decide to leave. Being stuck in NY or another state like that would be my worst nightmare. I love some personal freedom and low taxes and will go wherever to have those basic conditions. Well, as soon as you can defect you might be ready to jump before they make the punishment for leaving even worse.
  18. I am seeing a lot of NY tags these days, just about every day on my very short 4.6 mile commute to work, sometimes multiples. It is very concerning. I hope they are not still voting for the party that created the liberal tax policies they fled here to seek refuge from. I am considering having some sort of bumper decals made to the effect of... DON'T BE STUPID If you moved to here to flee liberal tax policies don't vote for liberals and liberal tax policies here If anyone has a great bumper decal (stickers are for kids) idea that would convey this better
  19. I can do pretty good drawings. I've studied it twice through the years. I've seen hilariously bad drawings, so I can only imagine what kind of stuff has been submitted to you. In most cases I would provide a prototype. It would probably be refreshing for your brother While I am here, thank you for the knowledge that you offer to the community here. I always learn something from you and I really appreciate it. I know I am not alone in that.
  20. I may have to take you up on the offer you made to him, lol. Is it transferrable?
  21. If it works, video will sell it.
  22. Looks that way. I am sure it is extremely difficult to stamp one really large one like that. Maybe CSSpecs can comment on that.
  23. Why is there a cheek rest on a gun that already has very low sights?
