I think they are .724" at the muzzle. It has been a while since I measured one.

I'm pretty sure it is good to go on anything at or longer than 26". Even an AR15 pistol can have a vert grip if the overall length is long enough.

From experience, even the Lynx looks better in regards to fit and finish than the Saiga-12. The only thing that strikes me as off is the look of the selector. At the heart of the Saiga-12 it is a great weapon, but looking at these clones really makes the Saiga-12 look rough. Trust me, I didn't expect it to be that way either. Also, the fit and finish on the KS-12 is leaps and bounds better than the Saiga-12.

… and I'll do AOW on that too

It would be cheaper to buy an entire gun than to have a one-off 80% trunnion made.

My 6.5" carrier comes well out of the gas tube. I'm sure you've seen it run by now. I have a means of addressing it.
Where is this tab you are talking about?

So i've been doing a lot of research because I want the 25rnd drum for my tristar compact and since saiga 12 mags are interchangeable I just need to know one more thing which saiga 12 mag version would be interchangeable the lock and load version or the other?
Get an MD-20 drum and a couple of 8 round Russian mags. Those are my favorites and I have used everything except the AA drums, which suck.

but why would you wanna aow if its presently OTC? i emailed K-usa and they said their receiver is the "gun" i think the s-12 is the front trunnion, what about the vepr?
It can be made a lot shorter and lighter by doing a 6.5" or 8" AOW with the gas system relocated. It will also run much better on a wide range of loads. It is indeed cool, but some people want more than what it offers as-is in the envelope of 'other'.
Wherever the serial number is the 'gun' is. Vepr-12 serial number is on the trunnion.

I think he may have this morning and I asked if that was him. I do appreciate your effort.

I just realized this thread is fairly old. That would have definitely been under the old evlutionz.com email address and there is no way I can search for an inquiry there as all data is long gone. I recently realized it has some very aggressive spam filtering and IP blocking, no telling how many people were trying to contact me to no avail. It is quite frustrating on both ends and I'm just glad I moved away from it. I just can't trust it on far too many levels. I hate yahoo (their fake news, specifically), but their email is reliable and easy to use.

If you can post a picture (top view) of the trigger, etc. it will be helpful. It could be something simple like a mainspring issue.

Gosh, just realized site staff never changed my visible contact info. It is very frustrating in light of how much I pay to be a business member here.

Have a quick look here if you have a second. It is quick reading. Again, very sorry, please understand.

Doug,
Which email address did you send to? I had a critical failure of the evlutionz.com email addresses (support system, on my site, just realized the server host put that page back up after I removed it... gosh, just requested that he take it back down) and moved away from that. No emails are coming through that system. You can send without a failure notice, but I see nothing on my end. In the future, please email me at evlutionz@yahoo.com. I am very sorry that your inquiry was not responded to and please understand no response or delayed response is not regular for me. Emails are answered same day, next day, or on Monday if they come in on Sunday, unless they land in my spam folder. I was heavily invested in the old email addresses (anything@evlutionz.com) and finally had to move away from it because the reliability issues were really stressing me out. I like to communicate In detail and do it quickly. After many crashes (at least two per year every year that I have used it) of that system I just had to move away from it. The negative effects (like this) just aren't worth it. IT was nice to be able to make internal notes to consolidate proposed build details, etc, but again, not worth it when people are trying to contact me and end up thinking I simply do not care or respond to emails. It is a very tough situation for me.
If you sent me an email something to the effect of "I wanted to check if this email address was valid..." with no mention of gun work or silencer sales, I thought you were a spammer. I do not respond to emails that do not elude to work quickly as they are usually spam.
I would appreciate your help if you can. Please send me your email address via PM, so I can search my email and run a test email to you. I just want to see if I am landing in your spam folder and if your email went to my spam folder. Any help appreciated.
Tony and I do things quite differently, but he knows what he is doing. It will be a fine build.

Hard to go wrong with that.

AOW build services are now offered for Spets 12 and Trench 12. Got something else AK based that never came with a stock?
No telling what will be available next, lol. It never hurts to ask.
Please email me at evlutionz@yahoo.com
I am going to offer wpnz grade and evl grade for these like I do the Saiga-12. Prices starting at $1500 for 8" wpnz grade.
Wpnz grade comes with Magpul MOW AK grip, Tapco G2 with my UG2 short pull/short reset trigger job, and single color Cerakote.
Evl grade comes with... well, evl grade
Evl grade will be very similar to this, but with your brace or without a brace.

It is an easy way to get into an AK based AOW though. Get an approved Form 1 and let the surgery begin...

I got a .410 recently with a lot of mags, even a factory 15 rounder. Neat little gun, but I'm not sure what to do with it. I may do a basic conversion (code for not put an AK100 on it, lol) and maybe keep it around for hunting small things if I ever end up having time for activities like that.

That gets expensive quick, I get it. I have a lot of slugs, but rarely fire any for various reasons.

There is a lot of potential there.

Oh yeah, that tab. I don't do it so quick and dirty. Mine isn't that simple or a welded shim and takes a lot longer to do, but works extremely well.
