  1. i use remington corelokt 150gr softpoint ammo.this has provided the most accurate results and are 16.15 a box.i also have had good luck with fiocchi 150 psp as well.last time out i seemed to get good results from hornaday 155gr tap ammo also.
  2. my 308 DOES NOT like heavy rounds.like it opens the groups up 1-1.5 inchs at 100 yards.i was wondering if anyone has tried the heavier rounds a 300+ yards?my rifle seems to like the 150gr rounds.
  3. i went to the range last weekend to take my 16" 308 for its first outing.i was very pleased with the results.i am certainly no exceptional marksmen, but i was able to (after reading aksrben's posts and lots of research) manage a best group of 4 at 7/8 inch in the rain.lol.i spent about half the day there and most of the other groups were in the 1.00 to 1.30 range.belive it or not i have a used millet scope with a 6x mag that i bought used on the bay for $40.and i also use the cr-10 and mimic bens break in.i hate to be a copy-cat........but if it gets results like that, ill keep on copying!lol!i
  4. i am in houston and can meet today.is it still available?
  5. i was looking at saigatechusa.com and he seems to have a triggerguard there.it appears to have the pg mount attached to the triggerguard.is that right?i really dont want to go through the hassle of cutting the square out.has anyone used this before?does anyone have a phone number to call them at?i want one,but it appears they only accept money orders or cashiers checks.
  6. i put about 20 rds of prvi 75gr mhp downrange and didnt see any signs of tumbling.i was just wondering if anyone else has had any experiences with 75 or even 77gr rounds.
  7. hey guys, first post here.read lots though.great info and knowledge here.question for all the reloaders and members.what is the heaviest bullet your rifle can stabilize?what length is your 223?what type of ammo?
