What would happen if you shot the S12 without the gas puck?

There are a few videos of the KS-12. Apparently no BHO, just a notch in the safety. Seems decent enough right out of the box. Maybe I should turn my S12 into one.

My Wasr won't release the hammer. I tried the Wasr safety in my S12 but it wouldn't clear the legs of the trigger. I know the odds of having this situation happen is slim to none.... But I still don't like the idea of the safety being able to trip the hammer.

Anyone know if they can be un-welded easily? Can it be dremelled? Hard to tell from the pics I've seen.

Every round is a proprietary round until others decide to manufacture it or military adopts it.. .308WIN, .223REM, etc, etc, etc. I think it's a brilIiant idea. I hope it takes off. I can live with the rim of today's shell, just get rid of the flat face!!!!!! Why can't someone make a conical (round nose) shotgun shell for box magazine fed guns?!?!?!? The Russians didn't even think of that when developing the S12. They made a metal hull.

I need it done also, but haven't found anyone that can do it. I don't know how to weld. So for now, the RIO is for SD as I don't trust anything shorter.

LOL! I got a good chuckle out of this. Very true indeed, but far too simple a solution for most users. Something as easy as using different ammo simply will not do. It must be drilled, filed, screwed, riveted, cut, polished, welded, covered, chopped, diced, flipped, and dipped. That's what I used to do, for that reason and just overwhelming power. But then I did some non-scientific drills with multiple targets... I was way faster to the next target and to follow up shots with 2 3/4"... Now I run 2 3/4" If I knew of some 3" loaded to the same specs as the 2 3/4" I would jump on them. I h

Nice taste in guns and camera equipment. I have a few Canons. If you plan on removing and reinstalling the FCG, I recommend the following items to make life easier. Hemostat and dental pick to deal with the BHO spring. Axis pin retaining plate and modified BHO from CSS. I didn't have the hemo or pick when I did it initially. I was so frustrated I didn't want to take it back apart so I could send my parts to Pauly. I had the same cobalt drill bit. I also had a hell of a time drilling. Then someone asked me if I used cutting oil. Who'd a thunk it?

I'm glad I had Pauly put a Tom Cole HD rod in before I ever put a round through mine. And, No, I don't care if Kalashnikov or whoever the hell designed it intended it to have a skinny op rod.

Will a modified Tapco FCG drop in? I'm thinking the FCg, K-Var Warsaw buttstock, Phantom hider, and SGM mags should make it GTG in terms of 922r.
