  1. That's a beautiful weapon! congratulations. have to start working overtime.
  2. The main this is if they have a compitent Gunsmith in this store why is it that the Gas Block on the SBS S12 still in the stock position ? Any joe can cut a S12 barrel in his Garage, and throw some paint on the Gun.

    Bolt lock

The Bolt Hold Open is a great feature to have, why remove it. A lot of ranges want the Bolt open for inspection once the line is called cold, plus its a lot easier to load with the Bolt open. I had the same problem with my BHO jamming my carrier when I did my conversion, but I fixed the problem. The problem why the BHO jams the carrier is because of the play between the Hammer and the BHO, all you have to do is find a Washer that takes up the side to side play between the BHO, and the Hammer, one side of the Washer might have to be grinded flat to sit on the bottom of the receiver but i
  4. For some, it is their backyard soldier/ survivalist fantasy or whatever. Others want to do competition and need a way to carry their gear within easy reach for speed. Many many others get overexcited by our cool platform and buy anything remotely connected to it. I've considered one for the second and a bit of the third reason. Call me paranoid, but just in case shit goes down I have everything organized and ready to go. I am glad I did not have to buy this rig, I used stuff around my house to put this together. This way I can spend my money on two more rigs.
  5. Thats different. How does it lock, once you pull it out. Also what is the length of pull ?

    Damage to rim

Chile, you beat me to it. I was just about to say the extractor needs to be tuned, looks like its not seating all the way. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/80040-extractor-tuning/
  7. Yeah, I noticed that full length gas system. That was a big Flag for me. I was looking beyond the eye candy.
  8. Takes more than a cool looking paint job to building a tactical S12.
  9. Paul thanks for opening the eyes of S12 owners. Everything on this platform works as a team, as you said you cant just go " drilling umpteen ports " it takes more than gas to run this platform the right way.
  10. I made my own chest rig. I attached three barcode scanner pouches together, and rigged my harness. Holds six S12 stick mags, and 6 Pistol Mags. Will probably attach a pouch to hold my 20 round Drum on the right side. I can either attach the bottom to my Pant Belt using side release delrin buckles, or use another belt through the back of the rig to go around my waist.
  11. I am in West Palm Beach Fl I dont have a Truck to leave my property. I missed work yesterday and missing work today. I would not want to be in La. My kids in the johnboat. The water is much higher this morning. We did not get any of the Hurrican only the outer rain bands, and this is what happened, if I were in La, I would be evacuating.
  12. I dont think any type of lube would have helped those Springs. But this is they type of lube I use on all my mag Springs.
  13. I used Duracoat tactical Black and Olive Drab on my SBS 12, and Dupli Color hi temp Engine Enamel Low Gloss Black DE1634 on my Krink and my Saiga 7.62x39 Bullpup.
  14. Section e of my Form 1 I put 8 inches, section f Overall 28 inches. My Krink is also a Kit from R Guns, with a reprofieled e german barrel built on a David Riggs Receiver.
  15. Very nice build. I know of Two River Arms, they specalize in Iraqui Tabuk AK's, hoping to build one for myself one day.
  16. My 12 inch would not cycle wally bulk pack, even with the MD V plug. With 00 Buck I had to shoulder the gun tight to cycle. After Jack worked my Gun over, I can now shoot this thing from the hip, and one handed with no FTE, or FTF, its now 100% reliable, and runs cleaner than ever.
  17. I was having some cycling issues with the walmart Federal bulk pack in my S12 SBS. I contacted Jack at JT Engineering and this is how it turned out. I am happier than a Pig in slop. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/78626-jt-engineering-guide-rod-assembly/ Thanks again Jack.
  18. Great job on your SBS. Whats the overall length with the breach and without the breach ?
  19. Wish I could afford to manufacture these and sell them. The whole Cabinet is Stainless Steel, measures 31 inches deep, 68 inches tall, and 28 inches wide.
  20. Yeah I know. I keep 1,500 rounds in the cabinet for all the calibers I shoot, packed in cases in the back of the cabinet. All the loose stuff on the shelf is just usable stock.
  21. The LED's and Door Switch was trash I scavanged from equipment I repair. The Door switch is a refrigerator type switch thats mounted into a metal L Bracket, which I bolted to the inside of the cabinet. I will PM you a pic this weekend. The Transformer thats running each of the two Green LED's is Model AC120-0350-1, PRI: 100-240Va. c. 120mA, 50/60HZ, SEC: MAX. 12Vd. c., 35mA, Constant Current 350mA, Made by i2Systems
  22. Rained all day today so I set up my Ammo, and accessory Cabinet. Installed Green LED's with a door switch which turns on the light once the door opens.
  23. My Kit also will take a bit of DYI knowledge and hand Tool aptitude. Its not one of those Snap Tite Models for beginners, if I ever get it to production. I dream at nights about how to mass produce it, and wake up with a Head ache. The molds are going to cost some cash. that would be the best way to do the kit. If I tried making one kit at a time by hand you would be able to buy a Gun for the price I charge for one kit, not worth it for the consumer, and too time consuming for me. So I will just have to come up with the cash to get the molds made. Because of the body contouring on m
  24. This was suggested over at the AK Forum, read below. People, please dont take what I am saying personally, or as an attack against you. Its just my opinion based on the Dust Cover Blow off. With your Face 2 1/2 inches behind the Cover or on top of the cover, you gonna DIE. I do have an idea how I could cover the Dust Cover, and incorperate into my Pup Kit BUT, that would make the kit cost more, if it went on the market, plus I dont think Polimer would protect your Face either. I would just be taking your money for a false sence of safety to keep your GuRLY Face beautiful. So go the cheap
  25. I understand what you are saying about the blowing up. But why would you, me, or any other Kit builder be responsible for the law suit. Your Kit or my kit or any other kit had nothing to do with the cover blowing off. What people are failing to see here is, you and I are not manufacturing a new Firearm, but a Kit to alter the appearance, and handling. If they are going to sue anyone it should be the factory in Russia. Hey, love your S12 Kit also. Way better than the one that just started shipping, after years of promises. Lets all man up!!!!
