Young man at range trying to set scope on deer rifle, couldn't hit target. Told me he missed a big buck at 800 yards with it the other day, said buck just stood there when he shot. Dad piped in said ' That bore sighting the store did ain't worth a shit'. They didn't understand which way to turn scope adjustment screws to move point of impact and thankfully ran out of ammo.

Ammo can prices been going up as well. Last bigger show I went to a guy had some at old time prices, $6 for 30's & $8 for 50's. I scored a few but they've just sat on workbench since I got them. -

Dad gave me a Stevens 106 .410 single shot in about 1966, still got it. Killed 8 squirrels one morning last winter without having to move, I was on their route thru the woods and they all came in range. -

More of a varmint gun with lightly constructed bullets for a lot of damage. People use 223's so I guess if you found ammo for deer sized critters it would work fine. I use a .270 or .243 -
I got one a couple of weeks ago and like it a lot. The trigger does go nearly all the way back before firing but not hard to pull and if you have a dud you can pull it again to see if it will fire. Have to let trigger go all the way back out to reset, I had a little trouble with this at first but got the hang of it quickly.Holds 12+1 and comes with two mags, hard to beat.

Pick up a spare stock and try to shorten it, they go for next to nothing. Should be easy enough to cut down and fix with fiberglass.

I imagine it's a 2 stroke motor so cleaning the carbs will be a necessity. Spray good carb cleaner thru every jet and passage in the carb and a little compressed air,and don't run ethanol gas in it cause it gums up fast.If it's crusty may have to poke varnish out of jets with a fine stiff wire, I usually pull one from a wire brush. Fresh grease in the foot and should be good to go. Gas tank may be rusty if it's a portable one can be cleaned out or replaced with plastic one.

The steel os so soft I doubt it would ever damage anything. I use it with my Saiga and SKS plus Mini 14, fine for plinking. I have a Keltec PF9 that doesn't like the harder primers but it runs fine in XD9.
