  1. Have an older VS with top scope mount. It does not loosen up while firing. Yes, the lever is not the easiest to use. Like Dracozny said, dis-engauge / re-engauge the teeth to get it tight. If the mount is not locked down tight, you can loosen the knob on the lever and use a flat blade screw driver to tighten/loosen the mount. This saves a lot of messing around, moving the lever 1/16th of a turn.
  2. Got one of these mags. Ran two mags through a Saiga, and two more through a Tantal. No problems, the mag seems sturdy.
  3. When they were imported in the 90's they did not sell very well . Seems like the prices dorpped to $350 and still took a while to sell. They are good shooters and are quite accurate.
  4. Pretty close, with Federal GMM. It does ok with ball ammo.
  5. Took the Super to the range, the other day..... Shot a couple 5 round groups at 200 yards.......
  6. Mine would pretty much keep them on the paper at 100 yards. Average 6 to 8 inch five round groups. Lots of work later and hand loads, and it will hold 2 MOA at 100 yards. Groups were fired using sand bags, bench rest, and a 6x scope.
  7. Just a heads up, that's an SVD stock.
  8. Hey guys. Thinking about selling my Saiga 100 in .308, as I don't shoot it. Wondering what they are going for these days. Any info would help. Thanks Hilljack
  9. Thanks man. Gun nuts and motor heads have a lot in common, they like loud machines.
  10. Chris helped me out on a rifle with a headspace issue. Nice guy and straight forward. His shop is a cruise outside of Flagstaff. After the repair, got to shoot the rifle in his front yard. Now thats pretty cool.
  11. This page compares SVD, PSL, and an AK. Hope it helps. http://dragunov.us/com/com.html
