  1. Well, mark this down as something I'm going to regret later but there are some other firearm purchases I want to make before the November elections so I'm selling my Saiga and thought I would give fellow forum members a shot at it before it goes on Gunbroker.

Obviously, you must be legally able to purchase firearms in your state. I will transfer this to my local FFL and have him mail it to yours.

This is a EAA Saiga that I've owned for a few years now. I've probably put about 600 rounds down range through it. I've cleaned it after every range trip.

There is a bullet guide installed as well as a recoil buffer and the mag release has been modified to accept normal AK mags.

I'm including (2) Saiga mags, (2) Hungarian 20 rounders and (2) 10 round mags plus the front sight adjustment tool and the recoil buttstock pad.

My firm price is $450 shipped.

    Here's a pic:

  2. Thanks for all of the replies. I really like this gun. Several of us from my office are going to go to the range again this weekend. Between the 3 of us there will be the CZ P01 9mm, a Glock 23 .40 and a new Baby Eagle .40 - can't wait till Saturday.

In the meantime I got my Bianchi M100 IWB Holster today. Model 19234 Size 11

For the P01 not to be listed on the package, it fits the gun like a glove. Also no too bulky to wear.

The leather and workmanship looks top notch. I'll have to see how it holds up.

I also ordered a set of the Half checker Coco Grips from Ghost Products. From what I understand the Wood grips are a little thinner. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for. Besides I've always liked the look of the red wood on black.

Hey, I have the same setup!!

And do not go with the Bianchi Size 10 even though their web site it's for CZ Compacts.

  3. I read somewhere that it's not only the sight but a new receiver cover as well. It will attach to the tang.

I believe you've got the Krebs and Techsights mixed up. The Techsights for the AK do not attach to the tang. I specifically asked that question of the gentleman on THR who posted info about the sight. He stated that it most certainly did not attach via the tang and would still allow folks with folders to use the sights.

From what I could tell about the pictures, it looks like it somehow attaches to the disassembly button at the rear of the dustcover.

I read the same post and now that I think about it I remember the folder comment. So you are correct.

  4. When scoped I don't think you will give up too much PRACTICAL accuracy to a bolt gun. I'm not talking about shooting off the bench, but sitting, standing, improvised rests, etc. Besides that, why use not your 762x39? Sub 200 yards shouldn't be a problem for good factory ammo on whitetails.

Yeah x39 should be fine. I just haven't gotten my rifle sighted out to 100 yards yet so I've been using a friends Savage .308.

I was just thinking rather than getting two rifles in .308 to just get one.

  5. I've been planning on getting a bolt action rifle in .308 for hunting and was thinking about the possibility of adding a Saiga in .308 as well.

So I was thinking maybe I should just get the Saiga and add a scope and leave it pretty much stock.

So I'm looking for some feedback for some of you hunters on the forum who might have a Saiga and a bolt action in .308. My maximum distance where I've been hunting is about 200 yards. How much do you think I would be giving up in accuracy going with the Saiga??
