Quick question. On my 7.62x39, I have the std Saiga Hand Guard with vents drilled in it and I'm looking to install the std AK looking hand guard from KVAR. I should know the answer to this but don't. Do Saiga's have a milled or stamped reciever? Should I also get the heat shield they sell for it? Thanks in advance!!

I received the Belarus mount. Works much better. Here's a picture with the new scope.

Nope that didn't work. It has an allen screw that adjusts how tight the lever is. Looks like it's going back to the store.

So the screw that's underneath tightens it. Cool! I'll give it a try.

I stopped by the fun store today and saw that they had some AK side rail mounts that sit over the center of the rifle. The only thing though is that it's very wobbly or lose when I clamp it down. Is this typical behavior for these or should I bring it back and look around for another?

Down here in the Carolina's that's all you see on construction sites. It appears that our borders won't matter soon. Bush and Fox and whoever is in charge of Canada are all committed to the North American Union. I wonder what the gun laws will be??

Don't forget the Grip Screw. It may or may not come with the grip. Others may be able to comment on this but maybe a feed ramp??

I read somewhere that the US government placed a huge order with the Russians for AK's, Tanks and ammo for the Afghan government. Supposedly, the Russians laughed at the order, not thinking it was real. I guess the Bush Administration is concerned we'll pull out after the 2008 Elections.

I'm a big CZ fan myself. My new CZ 75B is a few threads below yours. If you wanted to go up to a .40 S&W, you can pick up a CZ 40P for under $300.00. I wish I had the extra $$$ for one of those. CDNN has some polymer Witness 9mm's for under $300.00. I guess the question is ploymer vs steel. Full size vs compact. The Taurus pt 24/7 is also nice polymer for under $500.00.

I wish they had a store you could actually walk into. I'm only about 30minutes from them.

Alot of people on the CZ forums are getting the P-01 which supposedly is the only NATO spec handgun available to the public. They also have some people making custom wood handgrips to dress them up.

Is 7.62x39 still not coming into the country in large qualities? Check out http://www.classicarms.us/ . Kinda funny actually. Any chance that if the Dems regain control of the House and/or Senate that we might see some laws passed that would make this caliber unavailable to us? I wasn't a gun owner during the past restrictions.

I really like this gun!! Looking forward to adding another CZ at some point. They are the Saiga of the handgun community. They have two pretty active forums to get questions answered. Here's a pic of my last trip to the range. Fifty shots of ammo that a friend of mine's father reloads .Still working on squeezing the trigger rather than jerking it.

Just curious if anyone here has been watching the new CBS show "The Unit". One thing that jumped out at me on last nights episode was one of the guys was trying to snipe a guy from a good distance away and he missed with his first shot (amazing how Jack Bauer can shot at guys in a helicopter with his handgun) and then proceeds to adjust his scope to compensate for wind. I appreciate the attempts they are making to accurately portray what they are doing.
